Have noticed something a little alarming the past few weeks...

I tweeted a response to one of Crypto Betting Index's posts a few weeks ago and ever since I've had at least 2-3 Casino twitter accounts "follow" and "unfollow" me as a form of advertising (twitter notification + e-mail)

From what I've read, it doesn't take much at all for a problematic gambler to relapse and fall into old habits especially in times of boredom (which is why we're on social media in the first place)

Now here is my question:
Does this mean social media should be prohibited for someone in a rehabilitation stage?

I've read a lot of the guidelines from some of the leading help websites and none of them mention this sort of stuff, is our information outdated?

Thoughts?

Good question, however, I still get emails from casino's but that's not what trigger(ed)s me, only when they used incentives like no deposit bonuses. I think it won't help much to prohibit ads on social media, if a person has no hesitate to gamble, he or she will, with or without ads. The addiction should be killed from within, not from the outside world.

Its hard to not be motivated to gamble after such triggers. I would suggest locking your bitcoin away, for the time being( as long as bitcoin gambling is what interests you). You could ask a family member for help to stop you from gambling. During boredom use that money to take your family out for dinner or something fun.

Looking for some good quotes on gambling threads to show the attitude of some of the casino owners of this forum, you can PM it if you don't wish to post them here.

I remember one a while ago about some guy complaining about his troubling state of mind when it comes to gambling and wishing the same disease upon the casino owner so they knew how he felt and the only response he was awarded with was "Sucks to be you" or something like that...

Anyone else remember this? if so can you tell me which casino/link to thread? other examples are welcomed!

I am not sure about how those casino responds to such accusations.
But some casinos like luckybit actually have a gamble responsibly link on their site, which is a nice thing to do.

Well thats none of your business Smiley
But I will still say it. I sold a book back in 2010-2011, and got bitcoins in return.
Just recovered the wallet from the private key I had in 2013. Was definitely a good deal for me.

I told my girlfriend and handed over all my cards. This way I know it's wrong to gamble and I don't even think about it that much anymore. I recently did win 1000mBTC on a promo giveaway, did gamble it because I had to gamble that amount 36 times in order to withdraw but never felt the need to deposit my own btc

Most casinos put a gambling with responsibility warning and advice people to seek help when they see they are in trouble, at least in public.

Not all casinos are morons that just say fuck you to people with gambling problems, at least in public

Were you finally able to withdraw some, after gambling that much?
Or did you lose it in the process?

I basically yolo'd it because I knew it was never going to be mine anyways. I think I wagered over 3000-4000 mBtc total

Hi all,

Just doing some research at the moment on margin restrictions placed by government entities on real life Casinos.

Currently where I live, a casino or gambling venue is not allowed to have a margin of 5% or greater which I find to be ridiculous.

Just curious if anyone could share what the restrictions are where you live? you don't have to share the city however country would be very helpful.

Thanks!

You would be surprised.... it's not something they have to advertise either - patron is expected to calculate the odds for his/her self.

O/T: QUESTION STILL REMAINS, Please PM me if you're uncomfortable with responding here.
