Looking for a $500 bill...graded doesn't matter. I want something in fairly good shape no ink/tears/holes. I know that collectors care on year and what place made it, but I am just after a decent looking one.  Let me know if you have one and want to trade!

See if the seller of http://www.ebay.com/itm/281466481570 - http://www.westcoastcoincurrency.com/ - will accept BTC and end the auction early.

Thanks TBZ...I suppose it is worth a shot. I would also be willing to trade some nice Casascius stuff for one too! I am wanting something cleaner than the pictured one though...nice ones seem to run $900+

This one is good/very good, no ink/tears/holes, and I've seen far worse, so I'd call it decent. Any better than this is probably graded, so you should have just said you wanted a graded one in the first place. LOL

I was hoping to get a decent one for around $800-$900 or maybe a Silver + Gold Casascius coin...I am open to any sort of trade. I might just eBay one if no one here has a trade for me.

How does one go upon checking if the $500.00 bill is valid? I mean its from 1934, I would assume it be easy to counterfeit and clearly the most profitable.

Never heard of these be counterfeited... most likely because the buyers are collectors and would know right away?

I am 60 years old and I havent seen one ever.

im 34 and i have seen many $500 bills and have a few of them in a safe , I have even seen a 10,000 bill 1 time in my life. when i did see it i thought my eyes where playing tricks on me. I was 15 and it was sitting in my fathers bedroom. at first i thought it was a $1000 bill then when i saw 10,000 i was like what the hell a 10,000 bill. I just was reading about how the bills them self say for trade to gold. due to at the time gold was = to money so thats why i guess bills are more value then before. I don't know why a $500 bill is almost worth double but i guess it would have to do with something it says on the bill it self.

Have you checked out this site: http://www.apmex.com/category/61000/us-currency-small-type/all?page=1&f_price=500+to+999

They have several $500+ notes for sale on there. I didn't realise $500 notes were last printed in 1945. That's something new I've learnt today Smiley.
