I have 3.25 BTC that got deposited into my account during their "migrating" that's missing. Ticket #4587.

When they went down I have
about 100 DRK
And about 150 XC left in the account

so I would say total around 4btc on mintpal that have not recovered.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Managed to withdraw most of my coins after V2 opened. But still missing:

20 XMR
0.14 BTC

BTC was stuck since withdrawal "error-failed". XMR never showed up on balance since "migration" occured.

Is anyone honestly surprised?

Seriously, just use your fucking head and analyze the business model for two seconds

How much money can a "digital currency platform" really make? Can they really process enough feathercoin and blackcoin merchant transactions to turn a profit? I don't even know if I feel bad for those that got scammed. It blows my mind.

I got out a few weeks ago. I feel for everyone who lost coins, it makes p2p trading sound very attractive.

I introduced a good friend of mine into cryptocurrency 2 weeks ago... He bought some pandacoins and kept 0.4 btc.. next day, mintpal goes offline...

Mintpal comes back online, and both his btc and pandacoins were not in his balance... he sent a support ticket, no answer...

It is his own fault for keeping coins in an exchange... He didnt listen to me when I told him to withdraw.. But still... nice way of scaring away another new guy in crypto...

scams scams scams... what a shitworld btc is atm... and still some people wondering why btc crashes all the time... Cheesy

oh wel..

ok this thread isn't for all the people who come in after the fact to point out that 'leaving coins on an exchange is bad' lol.  Obviously everyone fucking knows that.  Just point out that without exchanges there would be no crypto, and what you do on exchange is place orders that contain - coins - which by definition have to be stored on the exchange.  If you pasted a link before Mintpal went bad warning people, then we will listen to you, else using hindsight to point out the obvious to try to look smart just makes you look stupid so STFU. thanks Smiley

your comments i agree with. leaving coins on an exchange for one day and loosing them is unlucky tho, we all do that. but i trade a lot and keep mayb 5% of my monthly volume on the exchange so the people saying 'ha - told you its so obvious now its happened and i can post about it' is kind of annoying.

Tried withdrawing 8.12371881 BTC 2 days ago before all these announcements. Opened ticket for the "error-failed   Cancelled" problem after I validated withdrawal via email.

Response from Seb/ the customer service guy on ticket:

Thank you for your email. This seems to be a rare error upon withdrawal. I have passed your information over to our migration team for investigation. Thank you for your patience with this matter.
