Monster laptop for sale! This is a used Eurocom D900F workstation laptop with an Intel Core i7-980X desktop processor inside. You can see the Eurocom page on their website about it here: http://eurocom.com/products/showroom/specselectnew.cfm?model_id=202

It has a 17 inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels, and the screen has a built-in 3.0 megapixel webcam. The laptop is based on the X58 desktop chipset, with the massively powerful Core i7-980X Extreme processor inside! It has 12 GB of DDR3 RAM, and THREE places for hard drives.
There are 2 power bricks included, 220 watts each. The motherboard and video card have been replaced, and the machine is running in tip-top condition. It is slightly dusty from normal use. It weighs about 12 pounds, and includes a 12-cell battery. The battery is near the end of its life, and might need to be replaced. However, even when the battery is brand new, the laptop won't run for more than 1 hour on it because it is so powerful. It really is designed as a portable desktop, meant to be plugged in all the time and moved occasionally.

If you want them, I can throw in a pair of 320GB hard drives for use in RAID 0 or 1. They have been used in the machine for most of its life. A Windows installation is not included, but for an extra cost I can buy and install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for you. If you want other parts such as an SSD or other hard drives, feel free to email me and let me know - I can purchase and install them for just the cost of the parts.

Yeah, it's Eurocom branded, but it's based on the Clevo platform that Eurocom, Sager, AVADirect, etc all use. It supports the i7-990x and various 1366 socket Xeon processors too. It has 12 GB, but supports up to 24GB of RAM, however you will need to remove the heatsink from the CPU and re-paste it in order to change some of the RAM modules.

It's meant to be a mobile workstation, not so much a laptop. Consider the situation where a CAD expert is needed onsite at a customer's location to do some drawings. Likely, the customer doesn't have the hardware and software for this, and he doesn't want to lug around a desktop. This has more of a gamer's card installed (GTX280m), but it can be swapped for various models of Quadro cards as well.

The battery life when new is just over an hour, but this battery needs replacing and might last about 10 minutes, max. It is essentially an integrated UPS system, and not so much a use-it-unplugged thing.
