When a merchant online uses Coinbase Merchant Tools, what happens if someone sends a transaction to that merchant (who receives it via Coinbase) but the address that Coinbase gives that person to send to changes before the transaction actually confirms? Because I was stuck in that unlucky situation and after about 20 minutes and the address on the pop-up window having changed twice, I checked the transaction and it had 2 confirmations...but there was nothing. Went back to the site and attempted to return to merchant and promptly found that the transaction hadn't been processed. So now I'm in a shitty situation.

Can someone please explain to me how the hell Coinbase handles this, and more importantly, what happened to my BTC?

Nothing. At all. Going to contact Coinbase support, this is ridiculous programming.

Edit: Just found this: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1544747

Sigh. That's annoying that you have to scour through their support to find that out. Guess I need to contact the merchant now.
