My farm is currently farming 4 more profitable algos than the ones you have listed with the sp-mod private kernels.

Ghmmm, I made 5$/day from each g4560/4600. So 1060 can be much more profitable. Of cause if you are not bensam1231 - than 2$ from 1060 will be extraordinary achievement.

1060/6 can make 590 with miners like xmr (but it is not good idea to run it 24h on that settings) so 570 is better.
And around 630-640 with spmod. But again better to run at 610-620.
Anyway it's not good idea to mine cryptonight on nvidia.

Slightly off topic, but if one were to be building more nvidia rigs today, is there no major disadvantage to simply going with 1080tis, assuming recent expectations for average profits? Perhaps considerations to be made with respect to the GDDR5X and currently profitable algos? 1070/ti may allow for more versatility in that regard. My op currently only has only 1060s because at time they were the most effective hash/$ card at the time, not counting the sold out AMD models. Based on the current retail pricing (in Canada at least), it seems that profitability projections for almost all nvidia cards scales linearly with the price. That being said, by going with the more expensive cards you save money on other rig hardware when scaling up and increase your output density, while better preserving future card value. Curiously, assuming you maximise cards per rig to the fullest, 1060s (3gb) actually do seem to still edge out as the most effective $/hash assuming resell value is not a factor, but I believe it's negligible enough that it does not outweigh the benefits of the higher end cards.

When you compare two different things against eachother, you use exactly the same hardware. If you're getting that miraculous result, then SP is also getting a better result on that same hardware (assuming he's not lying, which is a pretty safe bet). So you claiming he's getting similar speeds on worse hardware or with a worse OC is pointless. You would get better results with SPs miner on that same hardware.

OCs always increases hashrate except for weird scenarios, just like certain memory types are faster too. That's not a apples to apples comparison and frivolous to talk about.

Elliasim (ELLA) is promising. Fairly new ETH clone.   They claim to have solved the ETH congestion problem. Time will tell.

OCs always increases hashrate except for weird scenarios, just like certain memory types are faster too. That's not a apples to apples comparison and frivolous to talk about.

There also the powerstate (p-state). Memory algos on nvidia cards work best in the P0 state, but most ppl run in p2 state.
