nope https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=827192.0

Heritage:

Problems:

* MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event
* MAJOR: 10% premine is excessive
* MODERATE: Minimum difficulty is extremely low, causing instamining to happen and first 100 blocks to be mined in 2 minutes, despite relatively low hashrate judging by the timestamps
* MODERATE: Launch was obscure and not clear. No notification was made that the coin launched at all, making the public code release impossible for me to verify

If not for the first 90 blocks being low-reward, I would accuse the dev of having made the launch obscure to quickly instamine a defacto premine. However, this is not the case and even if it was, the amount of coins gained by this compared to teh 10% premine is tiny

Notes:

Have to remove trailing whitespace from around makefile.unix:184 to get it to compile

a report of block count on bitcointalk is a bit of an anomoly:

However, my difficulty at block 19 would be 0.00000006. His difficulty and time of post matches up with
block 79         10/18/2014 07:13:29  0.16902095

So, either he's lying to say the coin is better, or trying to provide some controversy FUD... Either way.

You can temporarily use addnode=tester.earlz.net

I'll be taking that offline later though

I think we all know that the 10% premine is excessive.

Should I stop mining?

He's not attacking it. he's giving you information that will better inform you and others as investors. It's all public , but a lot of people don't know how to find/read it.

I strive to be as unbiased as possible in my reviews. I don't judge if the dev is good or bad, if it smells like a scam, whatever.. I only bring to light what's in the code, possible problems with it, and I check to make sure the network itself is sane and not crazily premined. The network and code doesn't lie, so it's easy to be unbiased about it.

Also, I review what I want heh. I'm trying to help the community at large, not just to make coin devs happy (quite the opposite really Wink )

...guess not just me is glad you're doing this Cool
in code lies truth but the least of the community is experienced enough to even recognice suspicious, erronoeus or otherwise critical code... and most folks are not even remotely into rottling through code at all Cheesy
I cannot see an offence in code auditing and exposing critical excerpts... as much as I cannot see an offence in an engineer examininating an engine and telling what he finds beeing critical under the hood  Wink
