It's been months since entering GPU mining started being a crazy idea. I've been trying to warn people but a lot were very determined.

Since about September it was already completely out of the question for the average person doing a significant investment.

lolz I can't stress enough that Bitcoin mining now should be seen as a way of transferring your wealth and getting Bitcoins for the hell of it rather than actually trying to make money.

However, I started about 2 weeks before this comic, and over the course of my GPU mining career, made over $5,000 on a $1,100 investment over the course of a year.  In the FPGA realm, I made over $2,500 on a $6,000 investment in 2 months.  Waiting for the ASIC realm, but I expect it to be quite profitable for me as well.
