its funny to see people expecting 1BTC = 10000$ in short period i will happy if we see 1000$ price in 2015
1000$ price will be great in 2015 but i will be happy more if it make itself stable at like 500$ and do not change its value 50$ in 1 day

Pretty well agree. I think $600-$700 would be the high end for 2015. Continued advancement and adoption could send the price skyrocketing.
I disagree with the 3rd sentence. Continuous adoption will only slowly increase it. There needs to be a global monetary collapse that would be critical that would send the bitcoin price skyrocketing, otherwise it will just grow like any normal market. However dont worry, that stuff is not even that far around. ECB now introduces capital controls because banks start to go bankrupt in europe, so when the bank run happense like with Cyprus, bitcoin will skyrocket. Give it 1-2 more years, definitely not more

I would love to think it could reach $10,000 because then i would have the chance to retire if i really wanted to but i am not to hopeful for that kind of rise maybe we will see $1000 again but who knows but no we will never see 10k this year Smiley

Jim Sinclair has predicted that gold will reach $50,000 (USD) per ounce in 2020. If you compare the movement in the gold market against the bitcoin market they almost match each other. Perhaps this is because bitcoin was designed with artificial scarcity based on the extraction of gold from the earth. The global gold supply increases at approximately 1% a year. Start stockpiling those bitcoins!!! If you have never heard of Jim Sinclair look him up. He knows his gold very well and has accurately predicted peaks in the gold markets before.

I guess once Bitcoin really picks up, it will start outpacing gold prices. Hope Sinclair has factored in some cannibalization by Bitcoin while coming up with his gold price.

No, I already very difficult for the price to reach $ 500 this year if only it could get past the $300 resistance a couple of days back when the price was around 280-290, it would have gone up. but now it seems too far :/

Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015?
Never ever max could be 2000.

I think that the massive price that we will see this year will be between 300-500$, not more. So, for ten million dollar you have to wait maaaaany time !

Glad that there are also realistic people here. I have seen plenty of people saying '$2000 this year for sure!' or '$1000 before the end of the year'
I think the ATH this year will be around the $400 level. Don't think many people will be unhappy with that.

Agree there's no chance it hits 10k in 2015 or anytime ever unless it gains some regulatory support in multiple countries IMHO.

Do you know something everyone else doesn't? What's your thinking behind settling on that figure? Just curious.

$400 is a little too low for a high, don't you think? I think maybe somewhere between $450-$500

The recent NASDAQ news could push some upwards move into the bitcoin, but i definitely dont think it will reach 10.000$.
At best 1000$ if Greece gets messed up, but definitely not 10.000$.
Probly next year though.

At best if Greece gets messed up? I am not sure that is the case if Greece collapses which i doubt that will put strain on the euro even further and will not have any baring on whether it will go to $10,000. It will not help Bitcoin unless the adopt it as their currency which they will not. Although i do agree we won't see $10,000 anytime soon, if that was your prediction next year though, i will look forward to seeing that.

The Cyprus haircut gave no boost to the Bitcoin exchange rates. So I don't think that there will be any significant impact from a possible Grexit. Right now, the Bitcoin based businesses, especially exchanges and markets are plagued by wallet robberies and inside jobs. Normal people think that keeping their money in BTC is not worth the risk.
