Current Offerings
Kronos.BND

What is it?
IOU is a collaborative effort between ineededausername and Kluge - for now. Other lenders may be brought on-board at a later time if we require additional funds or expertise. IOU will effectively be purchasing the entirety of a company's offering and then posting them on a securities exchange, handling the company's PR with the exchanges and investors, securing funding for the company, evaluating their plans for funding, and offering consultation on what kind of funding is achievable and how best to go forward with their plan to secure funding. We will be seeking investors who we can sell securities to below IPO price, but require somewhat large (100BTC+) investments.

I'm an investor. How do I benefit from IOU?
IOU offers a newsletter to investors with significant funds to invest. We will be disclosing upcoming IPOs, giving preferred rates, and be much more willing to enter frank discussion with subscribers. Additionally, you'll get access to a website where you'll be able to quickly view all info on our offerings and pre-purchase without having to talk to us every time. We're not here to waste your time as a middleman, but facilitate growth and profits (the website will be up late tomorrow or otherwise within 3 days when we should also have our first offering). To ensure we are communicating with serious investors only, we charge a one-time fee of 25BTC to subscribe.

I'm looking to create an asset or otherwise raise a significant amount of funding. How do I benefit from IOU?
We have over 15k BTC capital ready to invest in pre-IPO offerings and plenty of private contacts who are looking to invest. We can take the risk, the time requirements of PR, and the complexities of learning how to use the various exchanges off of you. Come prepared to offer us a fee of 15-50% your security's worth in exchange for our work, and have a serious business plan with weighty investor documentation ready. Liquidity on GLBSE is... unimpressive, and as such, it really is going to take a talking to people with money to get you the funds a serious business needs to spread its wings. For safer investments, we're also willing to give a modest % cut of the underwriting spread. We're here to do business with businessmen, not hobbyists. Please do not waste our time.

This is a very good investment strategy, good luck!

I just want to note that I pride myself on having never bought a security for at or above market price Smiley
Kluge here can't say the same (sorry Kluge), but he's sticking to this policy too, now.

PR accounts are all the rage these days, eh?
I guess. Company name is unestablished. Seemed silly at the time to post just as "IOU," and since we're collaborating on all we do, it seemed reasonable to have one account we share.

Since we've received the question, there is no IPO being considered for IOU. This service is of our own funds, and at our own risk. When we agree on a deal, what we don't sell, we effectively purchase.

I like the idea. I was about to add underwriting to my list of upcoming features for the Bitcoin Investment Bank. Happy to work in with you guys as an investor instead.

I see you guys realised with the Facebook underwriting scandal just how profitable it is, are you also going to keep things under the table? Smiley

Through it... for now.  If we are too displeased with GLBSE we may look for/fund alternatives soon.

First mailing sent to newsletter-subscribers. Our first deal is going to be publicly announced within 24h, and it'll be a doozy.  Smiley

This is postponed until late tomorrow (possibly Tuesday) while we make absolutely sure the contract's (both our contract with the organization selling us the original bond, and our contract with GLBSE bond-holders) exactly right.
