Sleep it off, wake up the next morning and make a choice that youre never going to gamble again.
that isn't gonna work. Pretty sure of that, unless you are highly determinant and do not visit any of the sites any time.

Just send 1 satoshi to your own bitcoin address (or to mine) without any fee. That will stop you from gambling at least for a few days. hmm a little difficult to stop gambling, moreover we often win definitely lust continues to play and get more maybe if we balance runs out, we will stop gambling haha: D

stupid, bet your own one sat, once you reach 2 sat, keep 1 in safety and continue with the second one... but you need to be a successful gambler for this ingenious plan to work, but it's infallible what ever the outcome, because if you lose you would be stopped too. That isn't really stopping gambling... That is gambling till you lose. The idea is not to lose. How can you not lose in gambling? Don't gamble.

Hardly foolproof. Most people have more than one address so they might have to send many satoshis, but this wont really stop a gambler anyway as the desperate ones will just buy more or find a way around it.
You probably have more than one output at your address too. Sending a single satoshi will only tie up one of your outputs. A better way of doing it is to send your whole wallet balance except for 1 satoshi to yourself. That will use up all your inputs, and take a long time to confirm, because the miners see the 1 satoshi change as being different than any other 1 satoshi output. You may need to try a few times to get the fee right - try (balance - 1 sat), then (balance - 0.0001 - 1 sat), etc. until you've left enough for fees.

That is quite a unique solution however what about your on site balances? Everyone that would like to stop gambling on Eden Dice can send me your usernames and I will be happy to clear your balances for you.

Play money might be an option to get over with that addiction, but I think its the money which is what the addiction is, and not just playing.

If you can accept you are paying a fee with all bets to be entertained rather then playing a gambling game to beat it and make money then it can be fun.

You could do it the cheaper way as well. But thats not really the whole reason for the addiction behind gambling. Also came across this interesting article, posted by someone on the forum here on another thread: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-the-brain-gets-addicted-to-gambling/

Well the fee is pretty cheap for something like dice, 1% on average. I should imagine exact reasons for addction are very unique from person to person.

lol, can I troll other people's addresses that way? Send 1 satoshi transaction, and their address are locked for few days?
Seems more interesting application than a (failed) attempt to spot gambling.
