Can you even solve a block in 10 min at sub 10Ghash....

Why wouldn't u pool mine with these...

I don't but some dream they will hit a bock solo.   Even pool 4 of the block erupters is very very small no days.

Hey BTCForums..

I am getting 4 USB miners from someone on this forum and first of I just wanted them as a collectors item..

But..

Would it in anyway be worth running these small miners.
You know.. For the chance of hitting a block Wink

Tell me what you think!! Smiley

You can do math and explain it, but some people will never stop it.   They dream more then they care about ROI.

I love thumb drive miners but they have not been cost efficient for a while.

4*336=1.344 Gigahashes/Second.
I don't think it's worth it, considering your electricity bills, and your computer speed is gunna slow down a lot.

USB miners don't slow down the computer and they would use 20W total extra.

Current network hashrate = 294062893 GH/s
Your hasrate (0.336 GH/s X 4) = 1.344 GH/s

 yours/network = 1/218796795

but there are 144 blocks found per day (on average) so

 144/218796795 = 1/1519422

You have a one in 1.5 million chance of hitting a block on any given day so over 14 days (or about a diff period) you stand a 1 in 107 thousand chance.  Go for it!  It would cost a dollar a month for the electricity - you can't even buy a lottery ticket for a buck anymore - over the month your odds would be a little worse than 1 in 50,000 of solving a block.  Go for it! Why not?

don't waste time with less than 100GH,

You don't make anything with less than that,

But, if you wan to try "lottery"... put it mining  "solo".... and if you found a block, burn your house  Grin

Don't even waste your time with 100GH. Anything under 10THs is virtually nothing.

Probably only 10 watts unless he clocked them up somehow but I think you would need to change the crystal.

Waste of time, its like using GPU to mine Bitcoin. You are better off using the money to buy BTC directly.
