This is a general service I am offering to the community and I encourage others to join in and contribute, for the sake of attempting to maintain some honesty and credibility among members of the forum. I appreciate if you adhere to providing evidence based in simple logic and reason, similar to that which I am attempting to convey hereforth.

WTS Account #1: Zubilica for sale by catnis34

update: account sold 10/28:

Sold Smiley ..

WTS Hero Account Member.

Posts:   +800
Activity:   +750
Position:   Hero Member
Date Registered:   February  2012

Reason : No longer active here.

Price 2.5 BTC + escrow.

If you wish for your account to remain anonymous, I would suggest you edit the information you have provided to be a bit more vague. I'm fairly certain I know the username based off of that information, and it took me about 5 minutes.

This is a fun game.

Its not wizkid057, too much activity and genuine interest in the community.

The only other person it could possibly be is Zubilica .

Reason : No longer active here.

Its possible. Zubilica only has 3 posts in the last 45 days.

Nice positive trust rating, it should fetch a decent price. I might have to inform those who left postivie trust on this account that it is being sold, however.

You simply use the Member --> search for member --> search by position --> select "Hero" (in this instance) --> match the corresponding dates, posts and activity stats and bingo, dino DNA.

The reason why such a list is necessary is to help create community awareness of bitcointalk accounts that have been bought or sold as well as to serve as a repository or archive for such information. The benefits of this are manifold but above all we can potentially preserve a layer of transparency that may offer as a safeguard against future theft and dishonesty.

Please feel free to add bought/sold account names to this list, so long as you can also post some sort of respectable evidence to go along with it.

I support this, especially accounts with positive trust. Too many scammers on the loose buying accounts for ponzis and fake mining sites. Good work nutildah.

May be worth adding in if the account has been used for suspicious activity post sale.

If there is a strong pattern shown of sold accounts being used to scam perhaps we can convince admin to put an end to the sales on site.

If there is a strong pattern shown of sold accounts being used to scam perhaps we can convince admin to put an end to the sales on site.

I agree and offer Niothor as an example. I am pretty sure his account was sold in the past few months and is now used exclusively to run HYIPs and BTC buying/selling scams.

I can't confirm with certainty that his account was bought but the evidence clearly suggests its a strong possibility.

I support this, especially accounts with positive trust. Too many scammers on the loose buying accounts for ponzis and fake mining sites. Good work nutildah.

Thanks, I appreciate it. More to be added to the list soon. In the meantime, feel free to take the initiative if you feel inclined to do so...

Glad I inspired this idea, I'll be sure to add any accounts I uncover in the future.

For now, here is the evidence against Zubilica taken from this thread, in case anyone is was wondering.

If you wish for your account to remain anonymous, I would suggest you edit the information you have provided to be a bit more vague. I'm fairly certain I know the username based off of that information, and it took me about 5 minutes.

Well it took 5 minutes to be pointed in a different direction so it worked fine Smiley

I tried doing you a favor, only to be told I was wrong.

Let's go off the assumption that the information you provided about your account is not a lie.

There are 5 hero accounts registered during February 2012 that match the activity and post statistics that you provided. They are wizkid057, mezzomix, Zubilica, Isokivi, and flatfly.

Right away, we can eliminate wizkid057, since he runs Eligius.

Flatfly is working on an ongoing project on the forums that he mentioned his active involvement in less than two weeks ago. It does not make sense for him to sell his account.

3 to go

Mezzomix is definitely not inactive. In fact, he is online right now and posting. While I initially dismissed that account simply because he speaks mostly German, his English appears to be quite good, and he could have definitely made this thread. Regardless, he is very active, and a change in account ownership would be quite noticeable, since the new owner would be unlikely to speak German.

2 left

So, how do I know if you're Zubilica or Isokivi. Both accounts are inactive, Isokivi is even more inactive than Zubilica, so one might think that is evidence pointing to Isokivi.

There are three strong reasons that should convince any reasonable person you're Zubilica and not Isokivi.

1. Isokivi has a strong financial interest in retaining control over his account. His bitcointalk account is strongly tied to his ownership of his website btctrinkets.com. Selling his account would give him a lot of liability, since a large percentage of his customers probably come from the reputation he has built on bitcointalk.

2. You're trying to make your account seem as appealing as possible to any potential buyer. That is why you gave the registration date, activity, and posts. Zubilica's activity is 784, barely over the 750+ advertisement, and his post count is 805, barely over the 800+ advertisement. Isokivi's post count and activity are well over these amounts, and they would have been advertised as such if this was your account. This reason alone should be enough to convince anyone that this is your account, but I decided to go through the process systematically just to prove you wrong.

3. Finally, Isokivi's last activity at this moment is October 17, 2014, 03:53:16 PM. Zubilica's is October 28, 2014, 06:54:21 AM. This thread was created one minute later at 06:55:16 AM. You clearly logged out of your main account onto your alt and posted this thread. Please try and dispute this.

In conclusion, you are a liar. You have either lied about your account's statistics, or lied about the identity of the account you are selling.

I am all in for this initiative. How can we be sure the account in question is really sold, or intended to be sold? Some are easier to detect than others.

Any newbie can post an offer with the details of any senior or hero account which do not belong to him and the innocent account get nuked?

Its highly unlikely they would engage in such behavior. But yes, it is important to make the distinction between accounts that have been sold and that are simply up for sale.

Might as well add this account (bobolini) to the list.

As Injust said when buying the account, transparency is best, and I applaud his decision to make this fact public. I dislike that this is in scam accusations, since I don't think Injust intends to scam after making the change in account ownership public, but this is the best place for others to see it and be made aware.
