Your 2014 kialara is my favorite, i like it more. Its a shame i did what i did, but hey if you want to destroy them is your choice to do so.

Are you that guy who opened his? To gamble with?  Smiley
Do you have to say it that loud? :/ :p yeah, i still have it saved nicely.

sorry for yelling. i think it's cool you're the first to open one.
I believe im the second or third, i rememeber someone asked and then a guy said that he done it for test purposes but that it was really difficult, i agree, it took me a good while to open it, screwdriver and hammer is kinda a crave, good job.

Yes, I opened one at Smoothies request. I use loctite and power tools to seal them permanently. They're designed to never be opened, so do so carefully - at your own risk. The newer Signature Series pieces are designed so that they may be opened without damaging the case.

I'll have the EU group order shipped out Monday, global express.

Your blog has a lot of Kansas City area photography jobs, you wouldn't happen to be from the area would you?  Any change you would want to get together for a beer and sign a Kialara coin for me would you?

Yep, born in KC. I'm not signing any of my kialaras unfortunately but I can possibly meet up for a beer, and sign a napkin for you. I doubt it would be worth anything  Cheesy I had a lot of people asking me to sign these and if I did one, I'd have to do them all. I want each piece to be identical. I am thinking of painting a piece for the Signatute Series, and I'll sign each of those. Pm me.

Seal them all into your garage floor somehow.  That would look amazing.  Just don't ever try and move.

Should I fund them first? A hologram floor would be sweet.

What about doing something like this in a public setting? Could you use them in building some steps or something functional at a park? You could probably raise money to pay for it.

Otherwise, you could donate them to an art program at a local college that will surely make something out of them.

Update: I destroyed 1,000 of the Kialara Original discs with serials. I started by laying out ten of them, and gave them each a light strike with the claw end of a hammer. It was simple enough that I was able to do the other 990 fairly quickly.

I honored a few requests before I discontinued these for unique serials... 1500, 2000, 2500, 2222, 2345 and some years (1944, 1979, etc) There are maybe a couple dozen in circulation with serials higher than 1450. In hindsight, had I known I would discontinue these, I probably would not have honored these requests.

If anyone is wondering why I did this... for one, I am a little burned out of this design, and outsourcing isn't an option due to difficulty - there's a learning curve to assembling these. Also, less in circulation means everyone owns a larger percentage of the supply - so it's a good thing for everyone I would say.

Oh, also — if you own a Kialara and are reading this — and also happen to be a numismatist, I'd like to discuss some things with you. Please PM me! Thanks!

I'm willing to sell my duplicate 2014 Kialara Original for 3x it's original price (300$). Grin

EDIT: This was a joke as you can get the 2014 Kialara for around 2x it's original price. This offer is not a valid one.

digicoinuser, thanks for participating in that!

Zyro, ><  Smiley

ivanst776, if you’re referring to the 1BTC design with a 14k gold element (mini coin) those are sold out. You might consider getting in on a future group buy if you’re at all interested in the silver version.
