ethereum, counterparty, and bitshares all commented and said they received no letters.

could be a massive anti-btc fud campaign. everyone should remain calm until more info surfaces.

Ehterium is German but wants to operate as part of the international financial system.  To work with large US merchants and to have US customers they need to follow US law meaning Federal registrations and registrations in each state with Etherium holders.  For a few punters now it doesn't matter but they've dreams of becoming giants and with size comes attention from State AGs in the US especially after some idiot sues about something.  They always do in the US.

Point taken for Cyptsy; they'll be the last man standing. But remember they'll happily delist something if asked politely.  The US government and the government of godforsaken Florida could grind them to dust with procedures, request, processes, lawsuites and investigations if they're not willing to play ball on something the government wants.

The Chinese government hates altcoins but doesn't want to seem completely backwards; if the US goes "full retard" they don't need to hold back at all.

No need for the "stupids" m8; we're all gentlemen here.

Looks like the end is near for scam coins/ICOs.  Best dump out  and move into something safe and (hopefully) scam free like Dogecoin or Pandacoin, OpalCoin etc.  The Feds are coming ...

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/sec-sends-inquiry-letters-hundreds-bitcoin-companies-unregistered-securities/

I don't want to hear how "this is crypto, anon, the government can't touch it". Right, but they can touch Bittrex, Cryptsy, etc. and "encourage" them to delist anything on their scam list ... And if the exchanges want to stand firm (like that will happen ...) good luck getting any real merchants to use a coin once they get a friendly call from a nice fellow in Washington.

Some might want to make fine distinctions between Exchanges, altcoins like Etherium, etc. but the guy on the phone with all the power in the cheap suit making $30,000 a year won't.  All the scammers love to put pics up from Wolf of Wallstreet.  Funny they never post pics from the end of that movie when it all went to hell.

China has been itching around banning altcoins for years but hasn't taken the plunge ... exactly.  With the US taking the lead there won't be any stopping them.  Bye-bye Bter, etc.

This post is beyond stupid.  I love All the inferred definitions all these threads have.

  1.  Cryptsy.  Already signed up and paid for to the FED.  They're on the books.  Fincen recognized..  Most dumb asses that call them cryptsy or morons that try to sue them for not securing their own computers should know that. .

2.  Ethereum.. is an ipo made to a Germany company. . Off limits. . This post is stupid.

3.  Bittrex. . Not just coins are on the list..  they are not registered... and are the host of dozens if not hundreds of unregistered securities to boot..  scam coins.. pffft. . They escrow the pot for security scams!  A new one everyday and are likely the cause of the complaint backlash on alts.    Shame bittrex shame...

4.  China following suit with us law?? Do you not know the reason why China was the first to outlaw bitcoin??  Man... start reading a bit.   Nonetheless thanks for this Potatoe pot full of morons.  It's fantastic.   I'd say honey pot.  But yall are swimming.. not sticking to nothing.
   Always good for a laugh.

Want to do an ico or ipo? Use bitshares decentralized exchange and use
bitusd or btc or gold or anything...

This.

US Gov. can regulate things regarding to their country and its citizens.
They cannot control decentralized exchanges and exchanges in other countries.

Its cause theres no fiat involved and the on off ramps would be legit businesses like coinbase etc but the exchange would act more like a big collection of prediction markets.. Revolutionary to say the least.. Out of all of them i think bitshares has nailed every step to the tee and it started with the good name something that other coins cant say the same about competing in the space. Invest in the decisions not the tech early in the game

They should do their homework and not list any suspicious coin. not that they make voting lists where people pay to get on rank.1
Most exchanges are scammers themselves.

They should make more groups of coins. first all would get listed on lets say ListC after soem time, when they would prove they'd do well would get listed to ListB, and after long time and only the best to ListA.

Exchanges shoudl protect users, but here is Wild west and in many cases see just one day ahead and try to suck as much money out of them as they can.

I am referring to the FUD from OP's post history, which is massive and generally promotes Panda. He spammed this particular "Feds are coming" headline across a lot of threads. He is a fan of yours also, as I imagine you know.

Not my cuppa - neither of you.

This Spoetnik fellow, although rather overly enthusiastic, is exactly right.  Don't see the problem, there's plenty of safe cryptos.  PandaCoin is one such, boring, safe, thread full of happy pandas, scamming no-one. Dogecoin is in the good list.  Litecoin, lots of the old boys club.  The new lot are trash which needs to be in the rubbish pit.  Just a matter of people shifting BTC away from the garbage coins into the real stuff.  Cryptsy has paid the fee it seems.  Bittrex should have the money after all the scam ICOs they've been involved with.  We'll be fine, less coins and if a scam comes up enter the G-men stage right.  No worries.

Hey mouthy argumentative idiots.. ALL OF YOU

I TOLD YOU SO !

Remember me saying regulation is coming non stop for a year and how you all said but but they can't ?

well go stamp your feet and stomp it your room and slam the door i am sure they will protect your coins / service LOL

I am ALWAYS right ..suck it  Cool

Speaking of FUD, here is an unedited snippet from the Poloniex trollbox, just a few minutes old:

"Spoetnik: i nuked a Legend account yesterday too which was big LOL'z
Spoetnik: he tucked his tail between his legs so fast ahahha
Spoetnik: so when he started crying about it i reversed it cause i am a nice guy Smiley
Spoetnik: the Trust Rating system at Bitcointalk is a big useless corrupt joke = The Point"
