Hello all, I have an Aspire One d270-26Ckk and I can not get the Function key to work with the "brightness control keys" on the keyboard.
.5 BTC to tell me what I need to install/do to get that to work.
I am running windows 7 and I have no Acer support stuff.
Thank you.

On the Taskbar right click on the battery icon and then click adjust screen brightness. If it's not there, unplug the power supply and it will show up.

That is not exactly what I am trying to accomplish, I am trying to get the keys on the keyboard to work. However I did check what you said and I can not do it on the netbook. On my laptop however it is exactly like you said. This makes me think it can't be done? Also .5 BTC for helping me get the wifi working. I have installed the correct driver from Acer but nothing, light wont come on and I can not even find it in device manual. Thanks. Check if there is a wireless switch on the device itself and turn that to "on" When you first bootup try the keys without being in Windows. At BIOS screen try using Fn+ combination !

Restart, and then look again for the wifi drivers. Then go to the control panel and check if the wifi module is enabled.

I am also wondering if it has wifi I have an early linux Aspire One. On mine, there's a small slider switch on the front edge that must be slid to turn on WiFi. Maybe yours has something similar.

try switching fn and windows key in the bios. in not, you can re-map keys using software. eg make "e" "fn"
sharpkeys.codeplex.com
also, go into device management (devmgmt.msc) and tell us what wifi card you have. Usually each card has general drivers which will work for any computer with that card and OS.
