I think there are two possible scenarios in the future for bitcoin. The first one is that it will be worthless, because all the gouverment and banks starts a war against and banned them. The other one is, that bitcoin gain more and more value, so it will be so valuable that it will be something like the new gold. I think both are very possible scenarios.

The fall of bitcoin was predictable, it is projected that the growth will be even higher after each fall, always growing.

Agree. This is the usual behavior of Bitcoin where it falls, and rises back up stronger than ever before. It has managed to gain traction among the mainstream world, and if scalable solutions such as the Lightning Network become successful, then Bitcoin's usage would be further expanded. Followed by this, sidechains would be implemented into Bitcoin that would extend its functionality from smart contracts to token issuance, all within a single unified blockchain.

Therefore, with all the upcoming improvements and interest into Bitcoin lately, it will have a very bright future. By then, Bitcoin will remain as king of cryptocurrencies, as it provides instant and cheap payments to anyone all over the world. As such, it's only a matter of time before it becomes an extremely valuable cryptocurrency. Just my thoughts Grin

...not a guaranteed value of the Bitcoin makes the price move is not fair.
Life is not fair. The fact that bitcoin is not guaranteed by state violence is the very reason it will succeed, the very thing that makes it unique from all violence-backed state promissory scrip.

No, bitcoin will not last forever. But it will almost certainly get us through the end of capitalism.

It has been really affiliated with some higher class of elites that has been investing in this kind of currency. And for years, bitcoin is really successful, and  every day its community is grwoing and growing. It been successful with less affiliates, how much more if we rode thousands more? We can't tell if bitcoin will really stay for ever, I agree, but we cant make it run long for the future years.

Right on. First the innovators, then the speculators, then the elite, and then the poor masses. The best way to promote crypto currencies like BTC is to give some of it to the poor. See my YouTube video on promoting BTC to the masses by using it as a charity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTs5CCZxLxI&t=14s

I would like to start a discussion about the future of Bitcoin.
The following is my prognosis
The future of Bitcoin
After vears of trying to break the blockchain technology that runs Bitcoin, the bankers and governements finally realized that because blockchiain was a public ledger that kept all transaction and that this ledger could not be hacked or falsified; Bitcoin could not be stopped or blocked. Like email, and i-porn, it used the internet highway and without destroying the internet and its highways of communication, the blockchain technology could not be blocked.

The banks and governments decided on another plan called “f you can`t beat them, join them”. They decided that their only chance was to buy up all the Bitcoins. They started small and encouraged Bitcoin`s price to drop by demanding regulation, not realizing that the blockchain is just a public ledger that can not be regulated. The threat of regulation caused the price of Bitcoin to drop, and when the banks and government thought that the price of Bitcoin would not go any lower, they started to buy up Bitcoins. When people realized that the banks and governments were buying up the Bitcoins, the price of Bitcoins soared in an avalanche. This made banks and governments very rich.
The move is actually very risky for the bank and the government, because at this time bitcoin prices are still quite expensive. Where does the bank or government get the money to buy all the bitcoins? Then after the banks and the government buy all the bitcoin in circulation then they gradually start memonopilo bitcoin prices to fall then they will experience a huge loss. I think their plans are very stupid.

As 1000 people holding the portion of 40% of the total bitcoin supply, they have the power to impact on prices of bitcoin as a manupulative attacks. Taking the power from blockchain technology, bitcoin can be exchanged p2p without backed by the governments, central banks or any intermediary. There's nothing to stop bitcoin to value from falling.

The question you brought up about whether governments are considering buying up bitcoins is an interesting one.

It looks like the classic Prisoner's Dilemma problem. All governments would be better off if bitcoin died out, but the first government to initiate a bitcoin-reserve buying program would be in a much better position than other governments if bitcoin does become ubiquitous.

I think in the world of American hegemony we lived in between 1990-2000 there would be no bitcoin buying, but in an increasingly bipolar world of East vs. West that is developing today along with a few fragmented rogue states such as North Korea and Iran, someone will defect and start buying bitcoin which will trigger a cascade of strategic buying.

Disagree about the creation of i-coin though. No nation has enough power to unseat a truly global currency like bitcoin once it becomes ubiquitous, unless they conquer a super-majority of the world.

The future of bitcoin: How the cryptocurrency is touted to trade going forward. Not a day goes by when we don't hear about the frolickings of bitcoin. The digital currency has certainly divided opinion. ... But investment bubbles aside, let's look at how cryptocurrencies are touted to trade in the future.

Now bitcoin demonstrates a new level of development.
Analyst Saxo Bank Kay van Petersen believes that in the next ten years, each bitcoin unit will cost $ 100,000. It was van Petersen who correctly predicted the achievement of a crypto-currency mark in 2000 dollars in 2017.
Others who justified the future price for bitcoin were Vinces Casares, CEO of the crypto-currency purse Xapo and a member of the board of directors of PayPal. At the conference Consensus 2017, held in May in New York, he predicted that the cost of bitcoin would reach $ 1 million in 10 years.
Bitcoin will continue to grow as long as demand remains.

I think Bitcoin is still growing, even in the future.
People can better save their Bitcoin and exchange later if it has a higher price.

As what you've said that there are thousands of people who are still using bitcoin then it means bitcoin will be more popular in the future. It will be more useful and helpful for everyone. Bitcoin will be more popular and price of this will be more higher than before. It really gives us freedom.

The future of bitcoin is still bright and in fact, we can see it right now and there is no doubt that the market in the future will still be good or even better than the current performance of bitcoin. The future is always there but the only one who are in charge in creating that future is, us. We need to be good in using and maintaining bitcoin so we can have a good future.

I think in the future bitcoin will be recognized in different countries and can be used in their payments and investing. In the future, when the demand of bitcoin or its users increases it may also increase its price.

The future of bitcoin is very bright! Many people believe that it will be the future universal currency. As of now, bitcoin is becoming popular in the whole world even though there are some countries that do not accept bitcoin. There are also speculations that before this year ends, the value of bitcoin will increase up to $2000

The future of Bitcoin is safe, so far I know about Bitcoin, it's becoming acceptable and credible day by day, Many countries are going to allow Bitcoin as a legal currency, Japan already approved it as a legal currency, so by this way, Bitcoin will become a powerful currency in the monetary system...
