Is " proof of captcha"  implementable to obtain a fair, non centralized mining?

My idea is to use captchas as proof of work: to mine you'lla need both to run a working node and to solve Captchas.

Is this technically possible?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thank you for the coincise response.

Can you also explain why it is not technically feasible?

There are automated services that can solve captchas. The system can be cheated with them. Here's a link to one.

Mh. I think this would be not a major obstacle. There are different kind of captchas and we can choose an original one (i.e. try to recognize sad faces from happy faces, or name the animal in the picture, or solve the puzzle, and so on... )

Interesting, but that's a different thing: they created a premined pos coin, distributed via captchas. I was wondering about a captcha pow

There was a lot of discussion about proof of captcha mining in this thread.
