i think its a good trend, you get rewarded for holding your coins that's it , it's a good opportunity for mid and long term holders , so just the fact that you are keeping your coins will increase naturally the value of your stake |

The held BTC investment will only be released to the developer, "ArenaCoin" after the ArenaCoin has been distributed, and there's an overall stability of the wallets, and blockchain and a working block explorer.
If any issues arise with the distribution I will provide mediation and release the Bitcoin to the party with the most compelling evidence.
I'm excited to work with each of you!
** Please do not send BTC from a shared wallet, if there's an issue with the distribution it will be harder to process refunds

To be honest I've never been convinced by ZeroCoin.
The whole system seems quite academic to me: it got someone a paper published, but beyond that it's pretty useless... The scalability issues, plus the requirement for a trusted entity to conduct a one-time setup of the parameters of the system and they "throw away the keys". These kind of security assumptions are laughable.
What are you doing to address these so that you actually have a viable system?
As stated before , the proofs could be stored outside the block chain for scalability issue , and concerning the assumptions about security issues this could be easily verified as the code is open source "could" by some magic? Do you have a solution or not?The assumptions cannot be verified in the code as they require you to know a secret on which all anonymity is built. This is the flaw. You could not possibly include it in the source code. It must be kept secret. The fact that you must know the secret (or never look at throw it away) really unravels the whole ZeroCoin idea, since we all must trust in you, which is not decentralised nor trustless. Looks like he doesn't have it yet. "Investors" just have to hope that he will at least try though. I wouldn't bet too much on it based on his posts so far. |
