To be honest we should have done an ICO and bought the premine, it would have been much cheaper, but hindsight is 20/20.
The founders of HAM have spent many thousands of dollars and euros out of pocket, and we are still giving coins
away to early adopters and for bounty's. When we have everything in place we will make a big promo push for Amateur radio clubs.
We will need to give many more coins away to entice entire radio clubs to adopt HAM, Some won't get it some will.
free coins go a long way in getting them to try it out. We will also continue to do giveaways to help reward the community for their support.
Although we have a nice start, we have a long way to go  to reach our goal of worldwide adoption of HAM in the Radio community
as well as the crypto community.

No, I'm honestly glad you eschewed an ICO. This coin has an interesting need to fill. My first build failed, trying again :/ (I forgot to populate leveldb)

Haha! Yeah everyone loves that. I got a little code snippet somewhere that lets it do payouts for trivia and such. I may add it in when the chan gets a little more busy.

Too geeky. I don't have a license but the regular faucet is very nice too. I hope the radio faucet will pique the interest of other HAM's though so keep spreading the word to your contacts on air guys.
