By the way, congrats to the Devs for getting everything straightened out without bloodshed, nice job and glad to see the new forum...
LOL HAM is here to stay... Would love to see more radio guys and crypto guys collaborate on new ways of using HAM over radio. So many possibilities for use, especially as the more advanced Amateur radio people begin testing. We are contacting AMSAT and others for colaboration and advanced testing What I would like to see is: When I go to Hamvention in May, vendors accepting HAM both on air and off, that would be cool...

But u head this way hit me up 4 sure, wanna see the rig up close n personal, Reasonable Yacht fees/dockage in little river etc, and mooring balls close to my crib. We can hang @ my resort... Big fun! Thanks! I'll certainly keep your offer in mind!

Good luck. I know you've been working your ass off promoting this coin. I hope it sees big adoption in the ham radio community.
As a 3 min Sha coin, think about merge mining with UNO, and tap into their ths's.

I'd like to see a youtube video of two ham radio operators talking about hamradiocoin through the airwaves. Zooming in on the radio, looking at the blinking lights. Or even 3 or 4 operators at the same time talking about hamradiocoin
That would be cool and show support for the coin.

That's like a silent film from the 1920's, and it's not operators actually talking over the radio waves.

Some people like myself who have no experience with HAM radio would love to see ham related discussions. Can anyone buy a HAM receiver (not transmitter) to listen to ham operators talk?
What is the cheapest device for that? From what I understand, traditional hand held scanners don't go down to those lower frequencies, right? (You can tell I don't know much about this stuff)

From what I do know about HAM, is that the people are no stranger to tinkering with technology and gadgets. Would seem appropriate to tally up a list of HAM radio groups around North America and Europe. See how many there are.. Allow a small amount of free hamradiocoin per group. Each local group can assign 1 local delegate to do the wallet install and show other interested users at their local geographic how to use it. Most of these groups have email addresses and mailing addresses, should be easy to reach them. Not only will this promote hamradiocoin but bitcoin too. I bet many of them haven't even heard of a bitcoin either.

Great concept, been lurking on the fringes of HAM radio for years. I'm one of those electronic tinkerers, that can't be assed to actually operate.

Dear HAM community,
I'm happy to announce that HAM has been added to the Altcoin.Center addnode seed network!
We currently have four DDoS protected high availability servers delivering fast and reliable access to the block chains of a handful of carefully selected coins. More servers will be added to the network shortly.
Should you have trouble getting your wallet synchronized ("No block source available"), just add the following lines to your hamradiocoin.conf and restart the wallet:
addnode=seeds.altcoin.center addnode=seeds.altcoincenter.eu addnode=seeds.altcoincenter.us
Yours,
Jyri -- Altcoin.Center
