Learn to trade for yourself. http://babypips.com (free trading school) http://forexfactory.com (forex trading community) have tons of quality trading information.

Always remember bots are only as good as the trader who built them.

Ask yourself this - If a bot is consistently profitable why then would someone sell it for BTC0.05?

I did not understand if you already have previous experience of trading.
If you have not, I strongly recommend you get yourself a minimal background to understand how markets work.
I remind you that in altcoin movements are detailed to the nth degree as in a few seconds oscillazzioni There are also 10 or 20% or more.
you can gain a lot.. but loss a lot too!!!

I agree with this point. If you don't have trading experience of your own, I would suggest taking a small portion(less than 0.5) of your BTC and practicing, researching, etc. Many of the bots that are sold don't contain one button that says "Make me profit". Even the bots(decent ones) require you to specify certain parameters which itself requires some form of knowledge of technical analysis using charts, highs, lows history of a coin, etc, etc. I would suggest manually trading a very small portion and researching/learning on your own before you consider any bot.

I suggest you do a little 'paper trading after learning the theory behind the trading
for paper trading does not mean that you invest real money, but just, on paper .. and see if your approach is profitable or not.
then decide whether or not to go to the actual trading

Since it is a huge amount( 8BTC) please get some experience first, understand the trading of bitcoins very deeply, learn to analyse charts and then try to trade most of your Bitcoins manually, and a small portion, you may use a bot which has a lot of good feedback from the users.

Firstly think - that bot can work 24/7 full week, are you then interested in this - if your computer will work 24/7. This is one of main problems - BTC trading is going full week. And profit can be small too, because you have only 8 BTC  Wink

Trading bots can be very profitable... for the person selling the bot.

The problem with many bots is that they will make a lot of trades that will net a small profit and a few trades for large losses. The net result is usually a loss for the trader.

now, trading bots can be very profitable, mainly for the person selling the bot.

at the beginning of alt coin trading, when spread are much more high... are profittable for user too!!!

Hey,

You could check out leonArdo! Here is the main thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506317.0

We have built an extremely user friendly interface that is perfect for "newbies" and more experienced traders alike. By clicking and dragging directly in the charts you can set the parameters for two trading bots that come bundled with leonArdo. We are constantly improving leonArdo too and you will receive all upgrades for free.

If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask. You can pm us or ask directly in the thread if you like.

Best wishes,
The leonArdo guys
