What we have here is just the beginning of a wonderful life changing startup business. Due to limited 11 billion reps and a future so bright noone cant even imagine price will be in tremendously higher spaces once the beta goes final. Someone might can say, a once in a lifetime chance.
11 million not billion.

How do people store their REP? Mines on Gatecoin but I'd like to move it offline hopefully. Any help?

you are totally right. mistake in typing.

think there is no easy alternative to gatecoin right now. maybe when final goes live, or you buy a crowdsale acc over escrow.

Beta is out. https://augur.net/

What can I say the UI is very disappointing!
I sincerely hope this will be improved on actual release!

Sorry that you aren't enjoying the new UI, that's disappointing to hear as we've had positive feedback from most due to this change. The UI change was mostly due to the very slow loading of what we had during the alpha (sometimes it wouldn't load at all). The current UI has a heavy influence from former InTrade/TradeSports developer Tomas Priecinsky, although may other team members were definitely involved with the changes. I would definitely recommend using the feedback button to share your concerns as we like hearing negative opinions just as much as positive ones...of course we can't guarantee changes will be made, the feedback will be read and will be considered.

Additionally, I apologize for not staying more on top of this thread but there are a bunch of discussions about Augur going on and some get checked more than others.

Regarding Gatecoin, Augur is not in the position to endorse any exchange and that extends to Gatecoin, I will personally (as Tony Sakich, not as a representative of Augur) that Gatecoin IS the only way to purchase REP right now and I've heard positive feedback, but as an organization Augur makes no comment on this. We will say that when REP is fully released, we believe (and hope) that multiple exchanges will make it possible for individuals to participate in event reporting on the platform, until then the team is focused on the full release and highly recommend anyone interested in the project at Augur.net as well as the project's GitHub page at http://github.com/augurproject and submit feedback as it's essential to the finished product!

No, it isn't ... no one have the real REP at the moment.  It seems that the augur team has promised some of its REP to gatecoin after the realease (but it's just a theory).

I am being critical, and speaking my mind because I think Augur is a great project with a lot of potential, that's why have invested.

A nice looking, fast loading website is an absolute neccesity IMO.

That said: it loads way too slow, even with this interface.
Colors are saturated, typography not opimal (mainly colors, grey fades into the white of the background)
It's only a big slab of text now, with no categories, no pictures.

I am a graphic designer and can assist Augur on that part if wanted.

Thanks

From a state of the art sofwareproject has to be expected that it can produce a very fast website at least...

I personally think the same way.UI is unbelievable important to attract the eyes. Too much text and html looking bulb boxes dont have the same effect as a fancy designed betting interface. Even if the technical site works like a charm, people need eye catcher to spend money while feeling good to do so.

I urge everybody who invested in Augur to give their opinion so the UI can be improved. The team is under the impression this 1990 interface is going to work. Loadtime needs to be under 2 seconds.

If the majority of Augur investors think this is looking great, I Will not go on about it anymore, but I think the majority would like to see something better. It looks like a 4 hour sundaymorning job. This realy is far below avarage!

Community please speak up, and share your opinion.

Willing to sell 400 REP Augur token at 0.03 through a trusted escrow of your choice from Bitrated or similar service.

Think that price will be way bellow 0.03 in couple of days. I think arround 0.015 in 2 weeks time.

If the Augur team is not going to crank it up a notch and listen to constructive critisism it will be worth ZERO satoshi.

Augur wants to compete with a billion dollar gambling industry? Realy? With  only 150! predictionmarkets it is lagging like the is no tomorrow.

Dream on guys, this is going nowhere fast.

Every investor that is thinking this is going to work: a lagging, 1990 design style, website at not even 1% of the capacity needed is dreaming.

What will happen with 100.000 - 1.000.000 markets?

Dream on guys, keep talking about the non existing marketprice.

I visited the augur site and kinda disappointed there are better gambling sites with good website design.
Its like the website has been rushed for a day to set-it up.

expecting this post would get deleted.

You don't pay enough.

The team has seen this thread and the feedback is being considered, it's just much easier for us to funnel feedback via select channels so please give us time to evaluate the feedback as development takes time.

The team has seen this thread and the feedback is being considered, it's just much easier for us to funnel feedback via select channels so please give us time to evaluate the feedback as development takes time.

What upsets me the most is the ambivalence regarding the design of the Augur team.

Are you realy not capable to see the website is total rubbish? Realy?

Sentences like: bla bla feedback considered bla bla, bla bla easier for us, bla bla take time are evasive behaviour.

I am telling you like it is, this is not good enough for the budget you have (or did you already blew it?). It looks like it cost 50 bucks and my mother in law made it (color sceme), and she has never worked on a computer before!

2 Questions for the Augur team:
Do you honestly think this site, as it is now, is one of the best multi million dollar gambling/ prediction sites on the internet? Yes or No (Please anwer this for the record, your community who invested millions in this project deserve to know don't you think?)

And what would you grade your site: from 1 (low score) to 10 (high score). This is not about what other people think but what YOU think.

For the record, this design would not have passed the first year at any art academy.

Please be honest to yourselves and the people that invested in your project.
People that are saying it looks great (in this thread there are zero) are blowing smoke up your ...

I realy hope for everyones sake this gets fixed or this project will be DOA.

To other Augur investors, please state your opinion positive or negative.
https://augur.net/markets

ps. @augurteam: could you reply a bit faster, 2 days..., not only your website is lagging ... (What's up with these enormous loading dots anyway?)
