My dad is blocking bitcoin related websites. WHY??
Maybe he doesn't know about BitcoinTalk.org forum. Maybe you can post there? Oh he's blocked this website too I'm just using an unsecured network. I don't know the legality of doing so but I think it has been assigned to be an open network for 'guests' and guests/basement suite renters. Scary thing is I don't know how secure it is to be connected to this network... I mean there could be potential hackers doing some packet sniffing for passwords and such.

I want to start this bitcoin thing but have no idea where to start. I was doing some research some days ago before he locked everything down. I use UBUNTU 12.04, I love it and it's my baby. I don't want to switch over to Windows due to security issues.

I read somewhere that hidemyass was bought by the FBI, NSA or something to do with the government of the United States of America I'm fine with Tor but then again some of the proxies are being monitored by government organizations (and that's not coming from me that's from a tech show I watch)

LOL no. just no! I'm just a listener of Security Now! (TwiT.tv), Hak5 (Revision3), Tekzilla (Revision3), and some other Revision3.com productions. I'll definitely look into it. P.S. To the person that doesn't believe that I'm 24, I can assure you that you are not being mislead. I really am!
