How can I reload such a card?

And what if someone rips me off after I pay with this card, where do I go to claim a chargeback?

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

And what about the seller keeping the cvv to himself and wait for funds to be loaded and rip you off?

I question the anonymity aspect of the reloadable cards aside from the possibility of the OP knowing the number and CVV. I tried a reloadable Visa but to use it I needed to give Greendot my social security number and would have had to fax proof of residence (or something along those lines) i.e. bank statement, electric bill etc. So that wasn't what I would consider anonymous they ended up sending me a check for the balance I had loaded on the card.

I have since used a few non reloadable gift debit cards from AMEX and Visa without problems, only thing you need to tie to those cards is a zip code so that's not bad IMO.

how can this card be funded?

It has an IBAN, so any wire transfer(SEPA or International) will do.

i coulda used one of these a month or two ago.  no need now, though

there are places (like entropay) where you can get these.  more like a gift card, really.  order a $50 visa, use up that $50, and it's done..  or at least I thought that's how it functioned.  i think it depended on if you got the 'instant' visa or the reloadable mastercard

but, if you're in the USA, thx to the patriot act and UIGEA, you're shit out of luck

Just to update you guys that I made the deal with DeanC and will wait for the card to arrive and leave a review after I have it on my hands. I'll make sure to include pictures of the packaging so you guys can be assured that it's safe, or not.

Even if I'm not satisfied, after I get the card I'll still pay DeanC his 1.9 BTC.
DeanC said he will ship it tomorrow, so probably before the end of the week I'll update you guys on the situation.
Poland---->Portugal shouldn't take longer than 1 week.

I have tried reading the auction site...
How much do I pay in fees to withdraw 200USD in an ATM?

3500 per year is not that much but I guess could come in handy..

I would also be interested in an anonymous card. DeanC, I don't have 1500 posts quite yet, just over a hundred at this moment. Nonetheless I'm not here to screw around (which I hope is also obvious from my various posts here on this forum). Would you allow me to test such a card as well?

Two questions:
  • I can just send a SEPA payment to some polish bank number and that will put funds on the card, right?
  • What is the card holder name, something random?

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Just to update that I got the tracking number today.
There was a small delay as the cards nominated in EUR weren't available, so I preferred to wait for them to be available.

Will update again when I receive the card and send the payment to DeanC.

1) Yes. SEPA payment to your Anonymous Bank Number in Polish Bank.
2) Card holder name is: Prepaid Card. But when you pay with it you can pay as anything you want: eg John Smith or XXX YYZ.

Well please PM me. I will send 1 card for you. Please give me address to where I should ship.
Awesome. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice your post earlier. Just PM'ed you.

Ok, I will ship it tomorrow. Please tell us here, when it arrives  Smiley

Best regards,
DeanC

Thanks man. Just got your PM, I will make sure to share my feedback here, for anyone who might be interested!

Some more questions:

  • If I put 50 euro on the card (by transferring to the specified SEPA account), I assume I can spend € 50 with the card (minus any fees perhaps) and then it refuses further payments until I do another deposit, right?

  • Can I submit a chargeback request anywhere? I don't intend to 'abuse' the card this way, but if I purchase something online and I'm having problems with it (with the product or service I mean, not the card), and the online shop or seller doesn't want to help me, is there anywhere I can go to? Or is that not possible with this type of card?

  • If someone were to copy my card number + cvv code and makes unauthorized payments with it (i.e. steals from my card), can I cancel or refund such payments somehow? I trust myself with keeping the card details absolutely 100% safe, but of course I can never be sure about anyone I purchase from, or any store where I pay with this card.

  • Is it possible / recommendable to make offline purchases with this card, i.e. pay in a restaurant etc? Or is the generic card name holder likely to raise questions? Smiley
