3) You need to keep your money safe by not letting anyone to know your numbers!
OK, sure, but when making online purchases, at some point during the payment procedure, I will have to enter my credit card details.

I never used a debit card before, only credit cards, but I assume they essentially work in the same way as far as the payment procedure is concerned, right? I mean, I order something, in the payment or checkout procedure I enter my credit card number (usually on some secure payment processor page, like PayPal or Google Checkout or Authorize.net or CCBill etc), they check with the bank (or whatever black magic they do) and if the card is valid and has enough funds, the payment is accepted.

But other than entering my card number + code when I need to make an actual payment, of course I am NEVER sharing the details with anyone.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

They only accept registration from poland on that site. I really doubt they mail it to other countries, even if you fake an address for the registration. And if the bank mails it to your house, it's not very anonymous anymore, is it? lol

Yep, can't register outside of Poland... Well I have a PO Box with a company address.. :-)

Well I'll try the VISA with USD balance, I need a chip and a pin card anyway.  It's somewhat annoying to use american cards in europe.

Hey, sorry to keep bothing you, but yet another question Smiley

If I transfer money to the polish bank account to fund my card, is there some way to see if the money already arrived?
Or rather, can I see my card's balance online somewhere?

(edit) oh, wait, it seems you already answered that here Smiley

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

i prefer the non-reloadable visa's

go to entropay.com or something like that, you will see these

but you won't be able to get it if you're from the USA

(ed: actually, i think that's just neteller that totally bans USA.   entropay, you'd just have to give them all sorts of information, because of patriot act)

OK, I got my prepaid VISA on the mail today.
You guys can be sure that there is no good way for DeanC to get the CVV on the card without you noticing as he would have to open the envelope and leave marks.

Also, the PIN for ATM withdrawals can be changed online. Careful, you need Polish data to register, address and valid Social Security number. Ask me one and I can make one for you from your birth date Grin

There are some fees attached with the card, for example, each ATM withdrawal will have a cost of €2.5.

DeanC, please post here or PM me a bitcoin address so I can send you the 1.9 BTC.

Nice doing business with you.

To all others: SERVICE RECOMMENDED.

hmm, but isn't faking a polish social security number kind of illegal?
It seems to me that these cards are only meant for polish residents...

Oh, yeah... Chill out dude. I used a valid, most likely non-existant, SS number to bypass a registration form, I didn't get a job with it Roll Eyes
Also, registration on the bank site isn't mandatory. I did it because I wanted to be able to consult the balance online.
Others are free to do as they wish. I'm not advocating you do the same, just describing my experience.

I'll post pics of my usd card, it's in the mail now. I assume I can receive sepa transfers? A friend of mine wants to send me money from UK using sepa.

If I get an USD card from you, will I be able to fund it just like an US based bank account (ACH and so)?
I assume (from the posts above) that getting an Euro card will allow me to receive SEPA transfers, is that correct?
