that's summarize all I have been saying since the fall of community coin: free coin does not work (especially if you buy them...  Grin).

That make no sense to me. Coins that are comming from a faucet or comming from so called mining are free. So if mining can work then faucet can work.
It just have to have a way to be monitized. SLG did a airdump that is nearly the same as faucet just a one time thing and then mining and sone going into POS.

So the problem is not the faucet. The dev needs to be active and have a way to be paid for further work. That can be done with donations.  I could make a company that could use a coin like this. It just have to be used then it has a value.
coin from mining are free ? Are you living in the land of free cards and electricity ?
They have an intrinsic value coming from the fact people invest time/hardware/electricity (and eventually that there is a real project behind the coin which is even the case here...)

Sorry but opening a wallet does not give any value to a coin. Why would I buy a coin you just get by opening a wallet and because you saw soon enough the thread to get the big payouts ? This does not make sense to me.

You didn't made any effort to get them hence they have no value. (I opened my wallet too, got some and just hoped some morons would by them...  Grin but I never considered they had any value and always thought that would fail miserably... guess I was right).

It cost electricity to have your computer running for the faucet. So its not free. There is not any effort to mine coins. Some coins you mine with cpu and that is also the thing with the faucet. Many think that electricity is what makes the value of the coin but thats wrong. Its what you use the coin for that makes the value and some speculation. So its a great way to get users, but you have to monotize in some way. And that is not the problem. The problem is that people thinking like you dont see the point. If you win money on lottery then it holds no value you say. But just because you did not work for it does not mean that it has no value. But if you win lottery, please give me the money because it has a value to me and some other people.  Grin
I would have paid for the ticket  Grin (and probably had bought many others before), so I would have worked for it somehow...
But crypto isn't supposed to be just a lottery (even if sometimes it looks like), however that explains why people are buying into those ICO scams knowingly...

regarding the electricity/monetization, the link isn't necessarily direct, but the fact that some will spend resource on it give a value to the coin, because they will try to get back at least the electricity they spent mining it.
Here it doesn't cost anything, so people don't care that much about it. (I admit that it should work the other way around, meaning since it doesn't cost anything to get it, there is no bill to pay hence no reason to dump... but I know since at least COMM it doesn't work that way...)

I dont care about prices atm. When i saw this thread i was interested because i could relate with the concept. I havent lost many btc the past 7-8 months i joined crypto, because i was kinda pussy and watched crypto's more than i actually bought or sold them (glad i did btw). And doing so i red alot of sad stories of ..i think... good people who lost (or they say) significant amount of money, and see coins go dead in matter of minutes. But after seeing photos of scammer(s) partying with ico money really fucked up the way i looked at crypto, and i think with me alot of other people aswell.
This project was a kind of "moral" justice project for me, even tho i made a comment about killing scammers lol but thats ofc just jokes  Grin
The idea that people who deliberately try to scam other members of crypto community can/could be identified and so becoming vulnerable for judicial steps, by (for example) the community he or she has scammed, was imo a cool initiative and worth proceeding.

!!! Shame !!! the dev hasnt been around and the project seems to die with his silence. I would be delighted if we as a community, who still think this project is doable, could blow new life into this coin.

I really feel the same strongly with this coin ...

And if we as a community can take over this "good intention coin" for "justice" ... it'll be sweet ...

Let's get together as a strong and positive community ... and be cool headed with the present situation for our great future ...

Just kindly ignore all the negative comments ... as in the real situation ... all of those negative force is also always exist ...

We need to gather our thoughts and come to a solution ... hopefully in a week or so ...

DenKoma is already take some few action and steps ... he's the one that's leading the community as of right now ...

peace ...

If we don't hear from dev today and tomorrow, I will announce FIND relaunch.

As for now the most viable option is to clone/fork FIND, compile new wallets, pre-mine new 100M coins and exchange distributed 77.4M FIND on that new 77.4M coins (1:1). After this exchange we will run the new faucet with 22.6M distribution left among new wallets.

We'll have maybe 10 or 15 days to exchange FIND on new coin - that's additional time reserve in case FIND dev decides to come back and fix faucet.

1. If he still won't wake up - we close FIND=>FIND 2.0 exchange and distribute 22.6M coins.

2. If he wakes up and fixes faucet before the end of our exchange - we'll continue to exchange coins while FIND faucet works, leaving less of FIND 2.0 coins for in-wallet distribution.

3. If he wakes up and fixes faucet after we close our exchange and start distributing new coin - I guess there will be no point for anyone in collecting FIND after that.

Features of new coin I have in mind:
1. Responsible team.
2. Responsible team Wink
3. In-wallet "broadcasting" system - every bounty should be seen in wallet the same second it was put up.
4. Escrow services for bounties.
5. Flexible concept - not only "find the scammer" bounties, but any bounties for finding anything anyone wants. Rare files, data, any person, any info, even ideas.
Like "1000 FIND2.0 coins for finding developer who will implement broadcasting feature in our wallet" or "100 FIND2.0 coins for finding the simplest and most effective way to engage regular folks - not from cryptocommunity - in putting up FIND bounties".

Since FIND2.0 economy will be based on community efforts put in completing FIND tasks - new coin prices and market cap can be roughly estimated on pay-per-hour basis. Like, if it takes 1 hour to find something for 1000 coins bounty, and average rate is $10/h - that's 2500-3000 sat per coin. Again, this is my ideas only, and we'll need to encourage people for putting up FIND bounties first.

Anyway, i'm open for discussion - you can PM me if you'd like to help with new coin. There will be a lot of work to do - from coding to design to promo - so we'll need every bit of help or advice you can offer.

Here's one of possible logos for new coin Smiley

I also believe in FIND concept, it's shame that coin is dying like this.

And community will always be divided by Pareto's 20/80, so we just need to get this active 20% core team together.

Relaunch of Find is cool, I'm looking forward to it.

What do we need to do to get our coin transferred to the new fork when it comes?
Will it be a case of resync on the new fork or does some kind of transfer need to be done. Like Rubycoin did!

I know it's gonna be long and bumpy road, but in the end I want to see something working as simple as this (consider it as my stupid dream):

Some girl sees on web some other girl's photo with a flashy bag. She desperately wants to buy same bag for herself, but she really can't - she doesn't know the brand, or the model, or the shop that sells it. Only thing she has is the picture.

So she just shares this picture to our FIND free app, and we will try to find it for free in 7 days. If she wants it faster and with guaranteed results - she pays small in-app amount, like 99 cents for 3 days search (100 virtual in-app coins), $2.99 for 24h results (300 in-app coins), $4.99 for 3h results (500 coins)  Wink
We find it, provide her a picture, if she agrees - we pay the bounty to community member. If we are not able to provide results in agreed time - we return coins to her balance for future searches  Wink

That's the frontend.

Backend will process all bounties from app and broadcast it in every FIND2.0 wallet. In order to start collecting real money bounties, every member of community will have to complete 10 free tasks first.

in other words, I want FIND initiative to come out of cryptocloset  Smiley any regular guy or girl should not be obliged to 1) buy btc; 2) trade btc for find; 3) write a post about bounty; 4) regularly check his or her thread to know if someone is doing something.

once again, it may take months to do this, and it will need a lot of promo  Smiley

I don't think the exchanges can do the swap with fixed 1:1 rate - someone will sure dump it, or pump it, and I personally don't want it.

I want exchange to be fair to all FIND guys, not giving any jerk any chance to rip off our community.

So I guess only way we can do it right is manual p2p exchange. There's only 2000-2200 FIND wallets, as far as I know, so it should not be that hard.

There will be case of unexchanged coins - some people are holding 5-10k FIND in their wallets now and may even forget about it.

So there will be some FIND2.0 coins that left unexchanged after exchange is closed - all of them will be used as first bounties, or as hard buy/sell exchange walls.

I want exchange rates to be high and stable. Do not want to put a lot of effort and money in developing and promoting FIND2.0 only to wake up some day and see some PnD jerks dumped FIND2.0 from 1000 to 10 overnight.
