[FIND] FindYou Coin - Faucet Distribution

Hey, guys!

It's great everyone is putting their effort in FINDcoin  

I like orange logo by Sarahiko, and I like idea of lowering mcap, so i'll vote for 10M coins instead of 100M or 200M for new coin.


What are you thinking on old FIND to new FIND coins exchange? Should we do it as a tribute to all guys who believed in FIND cause and didn't sell coins when it died?

Or maybe we should distribute new coin from scratch?

Please post any ideas you have on new coin  


Concerning new coin timeline - since I'm not a developer (I can only copy and paste parts of code and compile it), and it took a while to create working enviroment (perl, python, minGW, bunch of libs, libpng/zlib and db_cxx errors, and so on...), I can say that I'll have working beta wallet with same functions as FIND by the end of this sunday (i.e. tomorrow).

The only thing different from FIND I can do now in the first version of wallet is to change mcap, run it on some server and be there until the end of distribution . I need guys smarter than me, with experience, to implement in-wallet chat/irc, or in-wallet broadcasting of bounties, or any new feature.

So I'm thinking on this timeline for now:

1. Community should vote on two aspects: emission (how much coins should be in FINDcoin - 10M, 50M, 100M, 200M, 1B or so), and should we exchange old FIND coins on new ones or not. If we'll trade old coins for new ones - by what rate than?

2. If community agrees on these matters by the GMT morning of monday, 15/12/14, I'll upload working wallet and faucet on MEGA by the end of same day.
If community decides to exchange old coins - I'll reserve some amount for such trade, all other coins will be put into faucet.

I say old coin for mew straight exchange.
And id go for a nice round 500M coins.

The few of us that have held coin have done so because we believe in the coin, we shouldn't be abandoned , after all if it wasn't for this community we wouldn't be continuing the coin.

WHOA! 500M? Are you high or something!!??!??
The more coins there are the less value they have and it seems to me that most people like lower marketcaps.
I'd go with 10M if I were you.

I am holding since the beginning. (~85k) Never sold a penny, never bought one. I'd like to exchange my old coins for the new ones but on the other hand some dudes bought millions of FINDv1.0 just to have an advantage of this situation. I don't say it is a bad thing, but sure it is not fair. (you can argue this one too, just my opinion)

So, i vote on the new beginning. since you are thinking to lower the coin cap, i think new beginning makes more sense. (again i am not exactly  sure about this too, i ll gladly accept whatever the community decides.

Actually, lowering or maxing the coin cap. pratically changes nothing as long as it has no value, but if this coin gains some value and trade volume, bigger cap. provides more flexibility i think.

Why dont you just create a poll for the questions btw? like;

a) new beginning, same coin cap
b) new beginning, bigger cap
c) new beginning, smaller cap
d) exchange coins, same cap

etc...

so many possibilities as you see. lets just leave it same. 100m , and decide about xchanging or not exchanging...

Ok well I have been away for a while setting up my new TV/PC/Home Entertainment system & it seems the discussion is based on:

1. Coin Logo
2. Coin Cap
3. To Exchange old FIND1.0 for new FIND2.0
4. New Features

I have caught up on the the gossip and I think from what we have so far on the Logo's that SilverDuck & Sarahiko's Versions are a good choice.

The Coin cap of the original FIND1.0 is 100M but the Faucet address has 20M unaccounted for, I think that a coin cap of 15M-30M would be acceptable.

Depending on how the Community decides about Coin cap and if whether or not we decide to exchange the original FIND against the new FIND there would have to be some sort of arrangement e.g 100 FIND1.0 for 10 FIND2.0 and so on (all depending on the cap)

There are a tonne of new features that could be implemented, just browse all the current and previous coins and sum them all up into one and whenever a new "working" feature comes out add it to the new FIND Client & Source.

That's all I have to say (that I can think of) at this point in time.

1. For the time being, I will vote for DenKoma working beta FIND wallet ... thanks, DenKoma ...

2. For the emission coin ... I'll vote for 11M FIND coins ... we need to have 1M reserved for bounties ... bounties for logo, forum, website, video, android or mobile wallet, community fund for the people that coding to make new features of FIND and etc. ...

3. I'm voting to use 4M out of new FIND (from 10M FIND) readily available to be exchange with the old FindYouCoin ... the rest of 6M will be distributed by faucet ...

4. I'm also voting that new features will be discussed and voted by the community soon after FIND wallet being release and becoming stable enough ... and the bounties will be paid with 1M FIND that's being reserved ...

DenKoma, please let's us know if you need our support on everything ... including any donation for the cost incurred ... server cost for faucet maybe ...

3. And I would advise to increase the percentage of annual PoS to 20%, so people will have the motivation to keep the coins in a wallet, rather than run into the exchange for the dump. So the rest 2M from 10M total will be distributed via PoS in 1 year.

Totally yes! Those new specs could really create a solid base for further developement of coin.
I think about blockchain technologies, apps on blockchain, some kind of database or list of known scammers put directly in the blokchain etc.

FIND could become police of crypto.

I like the ORANGE logo's design the most except the colours. I think new logo should be made of original wallet's colors.

how exactly do you propose a maximum number of coins if its pure POS? where do you think the coins will come from to reward people for securing the network if there is a max amount of coins in a year?

But then you will have a 100% premined coin. So how would you get new people to invest? If someone would like to invest then there are people with millions of coins that could dump on them. You need to think about old and new investors or just start a completly new coin and leave this coin behind you.

What about if we mix both "coin swap" (keep old FIND enthusiast satisfied) and "no coin swap" (don't let old coins' holders take over the new coin) ?

Like, we exchange old coins for new ones 10:1 (reserving 7.74M for exchange), but we'll have not 10M, but 20M new coins? So we'll keep old coins community rewarded, but not let them take over the new coin?

There's one point I'd like to make with new coin: even if new FIND coin somehow dies of some PnD, or because of any other 3rd party efforts - like, new coin's price will hit 1 sat, and coin will be delisting - there should be message for FIND enthusiasts that even in that case it's not over yet 

If somehow new FIND will fail - we have to consider such risks since no coin is safe - we'll just create new iteration of FIND with "old coins => new coins" exchange, so it'll provide some stability for anyone who would like to invest their time, money or efforts in FIND on the long run.

Good coins (and communities behind them) shouldn't die just because of some pump&dump jerks 

And I like the idea of reserving, say, 10% of emission for coin growth bounties.

22M coins total, minus 2M coins for bounties (blockexplorer, richlist, translations, promo, coding features for new wallet versions), minus 7.74M coins for exchange = 12,26M coins to distribute via in-wallet faucet.

25% annual PoS is also great thing, I'd like to vote on that.
