I'd be happy to send my .dat to the trash.

I can access my bitcoins without it.  The vast majority of my bitcoins aren't represented in a .dat file anywhere right now anyhow.

I'm not ready to die. But then, you can't access any of my BTC or know how much I have.

I haven't done anything. (not like you need a reason for you to avoid going to gitmo, but my thinking is they have bigger fish to catch.)

lol... for me, nothing in the world is worth going to Gitmo or dying. And I don't think the death of anyone will do any good for Bitcoin. That said, I'll consider migrating to another country, if the possession of Bitcoin is banned where I live.

I have my Armory root key tattooed on my penis. Had to do it myself, of course. If I lose that, life won't be worth living anyway.

By the way, this is a great pickup line!

I'm not ready to die.

because you think to have a choice? lol absolutely crazy.

Maybe just don't break that law...

the law of the 27 volume at the 432 pages, lines no 895324 ? Like barack says more law = more opportunity for fellow lawyers to make money... and more chance to be able to arrest you if you don't OBEY.

lol... for me, nothing in the world is worth going to Gitmo or dying. And I don't think the death of anyone will do any good for Bitcoin. That said, I'll consider migrating to another country, if the possession of Bitcoin is banned where I live.

If you some wallet like Electrum or GreenAddress it's enough to remember the seed in your brain so that you can restore your wallet anywhere and anytime... The government could just open your head to destroy your wallet...  Grin

Exactly.

The simplest solution would be to disuse your private keys in files that are not .dat files; the easiest way would be to pgp encrypt your file so the government (or another attacker) would have no idea as to what kind of file it was
