After that last bet, I was surprised to see my balance didn't end .xxxx7571 as expected. Instead it ended .xxxx7539 - that's 32 satoshis too low. I waited, watching the balance, and it took maybe 10 seconds before it adjusted itself to .xxxx7571.

I don't know how the client's idea of the balance is getting out of sync with the server's, but it is bad that it does. (I guess you send the bet result and the balance update in two separate messages, one of which sometimes gets lost - sending them together would fix the problem).

People base their bets on their current balance, so you should make sure the balance that is shown is correct.

I reported something similar recently - I guess I just wanted to let you know it is still happening, and needs fixing.

Betting 0 repeatedly until +2 units (of 0) or -20 units. I was doing 49.75% 2x payout, I always bet low. I reached -20 before I reached +2. In fact I never even reached +1. One sample, doesn't matter yeah yeah yeah but whatever.

Most bets have a house edge of 0.5%. That means the expected profit is around 1 BTC. Actually I think most of the volume happened before the edge was dropped, so maybe we need to double that to 2 BTC.

I've bet only 5.2 BTC, and have a profit of 0.77 BTC (when I "should" have a loss of 0.026 or something):



If you add the 0.77 BTC that I won to the site's profit, it looks a lot healthier. And I represent just 5 BTC of action out of a total 200 BTC.

What you fail to realise is that variance is a bitch. It's quite possible (and even likely in the short term) for the house to over or under perform by a huge margin.

Both of the posts I just answered drew unsound conclusions. KoS: maybe the site is rigged - but if it is, you can prove it. Gianluca95: the law of large numbers applies to large numbers. 80k bets isn't a large number; maybe the site stats are fake, but you've not proved it.

its possible man, look at bitdice 32k wagered but only 500+ profit. people win back their losses, so profits can be so slow.

Well, with 32k wagered and a house edge of 1% we would only expect a profit of 320 BTC, so they're actually doing better than expected.

Is it another good example of a dice site not making their expected profit - just they're off in the opposite direction.

As for "knowing how to play", it's a mixture of luck, and running martingale sequences where I have a relatively small chance of busting.

Fixed, along with another update today

• Bet setting is remembered even after you closed the browser (shortcut, roll low, and win chance / payout).

It doesn't seem to be storing my 2x payout.

It goes back to 1.99x when I reload.

The 'lo', and hotkeys are saved. It also has the chance locked, whereas I always have the payout locked.

Just cause a site offers provably fair verification doesn't mean it actually is. It's been proven through someone creating a site showing it that if the server can predict a trend you use such as always betting low or always betting high, a rigged server can give rigged seeds assuming that person doesn't change their pattern or their client seed. It was one series but for me enough to decide I'll pass here. Probably isn't a rigged server but whatever.
