http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/nov/26/welcoming-the-bitcoin-challenge-the-case-for-opening-up-currency-markets-to-competition

"There is no reason why more competition and choice in money markets can’t deliver the same kind of benefits that more competition and choice have delivered in product markets: greater stability, greater choice and ultimately better outcomes."

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Astonishingly stupid article. Governments that surrender their sovereign currency also give up their ability to conduct monetary policy.

Yeah, they don't seem to understand the point of free markets, looks like there are people out there who actively want their countries to be oppressed, what a load of hateful morons.

Anyone can issue a currency such as bitcoin and I do mean anyone. The trick is to get someone to accept it.

My favourite one, there are still people out there who don't realise you can end up in jail for making a currency LOL.
