Was thinking to buy one of theses bad boys however sites down and no word from support or contact with admins. If your reading this when is the site going to be back online and what areas do you ship too? Then again reading though the posts on here I am doubtful so I think will not buy until someone confirms that they received theirs and posts some pictures and videos.

The guy (Lee) is active on the forum and advised me the order has been received and will be shipped via DHL/FedEx so gives you re-assurance against using ChinaPost or in BitDroneStores cases an (Untrackable) service

Ya, that totally sucks.  I probably would've ordered one as well if they had the bebop in stock.  I guess you even have to use escrow when dealing with reputable looking merchants nowadays.  I miss the days when newbies would sign up for this forum, post some jokes, and get BTC donations for making people laugh.  Now instead of people joining here trying to actually provide something and become a reputable and respected member, they all just scam.

Well you will be glad to know there is somewhere that you can buy drones from that is GENUINE - CoinsForTech after being scammed by BitDroneStore I was referred to the thread of CoinsForTech

And seeing people post its genuine I decided I would risk an order so contacted them via PM and spoke with Lee he explained it would be posted via DHL/FedEx I recieved shipping confirmation on December 24th and it arrived today!

I cant recommend Lee (CoinsForTech) enough and PLEASE if you are thinking of buying a Drone or any Tech head that way!

They make a regular model and a camera model for a little higher.   50-60 dollars and it is a heck of drone for the money.  I have played with it inside and out.  Even in heavy wind it slowly made its way through the air just harder to control.    For not spending much it is a whole lot of fun especially if you get the camera model.

It's a definite good buy. I don't think the Bebop compares to that. Also parrot is really lazy(that's if you're android) when it comes to their software. I wouldn't be expecting anything good from them now on. Not hating on your drone, it's also very nice. The only thing that I say is better is the user friendly controls and the included camera and live view.

It's a definite good buy. I don't think the Bebop compares to that. Also parrot is really lazy(that's if you're android) when it comes to their software. The only thing that I say is better is the user friendly controls and the included camera and live view.

I think the Bebop is better than that drone...  Gimbals are a thing of the past on drones.  Once you've seen how much smoother the fisheye/software solution is and how it creates perfect shots without the rounded distortion on other drones, you won't be able to use anything else.  I think the software is pretty awesome.  All sorts of flight data and 3d mapped flight trackers.  It could be more user friendly, but once you figure it out and download the local maps, it's pretty amazing.  My only gripe with the Bebop is low battery life and lack of range.  I've already purchased an upgraded battery for mine, and am considering buying the skycontroller to help with range.

Now Im more used to fast and agile 250 class FPV 'mini' quads (pretty big and heavy compared to a bepop)  based around multiwii/naze32/etc flight controllers, and to be fair, thats a different product and market than what ardrone is going for. Yes, the digital video stabilization is impressive, if they ever sell the camera standalone, I will buy a few in a heartbeat. But the bebop flies like a turd and FPV flying through wifi just doesnt compare to traditional FPV equipment.  Range is a big issue (I can easily fly 1Km with my mini's, 10+Km with my fixed wings), but latency a far bigger one.

So if you like your bebop, consider buying a 'real' mini quad, some blackout mini H knock off and a decent pair of FPV goggles preferably from Skyzone. You will never look back. I may change my opinion if anyone posts a bebop video that looks anything remoltely like this:

My Bebop goes 45mph.  It's outrageous when you turn the speed all the way up.  I actually never fly above 30% speed because it's downright scary to fly around at 45mph.  If you buy the skycontroller you can also get 2km easy in flight range.  If you're serious, you can buy a wireless network extender and a signal amplifier + high dbi antenna for around $150-$200 and can fly 10 miles away if you want (and keep the antenna properly aligned).

I could never go back to the fisheye picture you get from drones like the Blackout Mini.  It's not even a comparable experience and the footage is unusable for anything respectable.  To each their own though.

bebop is fine if you want a flying camera, and I can appreciate many people want a flying camera, sometimes I want one too.
But its not what you want to fly, dynamically it just doesnt compare to 250 quads. I mean you cant even fly acro mode with it -and no, pressing a button to do a preprogrammed flip isnt flying acro. Did you see any of the video's I linked?

Also you can ignore the latency issue, but thats the only thing that makes 45mph scary (well, that and the fact you get out of range in seconds because that 2 Km range is a complete joke, at 0.2Km it became all but unflyable)  I estimate the latency of the bebop to be in the 3-500ms range at best and multiple seconds at worst. Even the best number is about the delay they use in drunk driving simulators and is completely unacceptable for any sort of precision flying. I can not even fly properly with the video lag of a mobius or gopro, which is "only" 120ms.

Then you mentioned lenses, you can of course put any camera and lens on a mini that you want. Most of us fly with 2 camera's, one wide angle CCD for lag free FPV, one mobius/gopro/.. for recording. I wouldnt mind mounting a bebop camera to record, but I sure as heck wouldnt want to fly with it (unless I want a flying camera).

Lastly, you want analog video for FPV. Not just for the latency, but when I get out of optimal range, I can still see where Im going without any real problem even when >50% of screen is static and noise, but I cant see where Im going if a poor connection results in multisecond pauzes and freezes.

To each his own I guess, but a bebop to me is more like a steerable hotair balloon that carries a nice camera,  than a racing quad. Flying balloons is nice too though .

I am a fan of hot air balloon festivals, yet I have never seen one go 45mph. You're right though, I have no desire to perform high speed tricks a mile away in FPV whatsoever. I want to be able to take the clearest and least distorted pictures/video while having awesome software features like a GPS flight analyzer, autonomous flight, easy to use options like 'return to home' and a tap to flip button. I disagree about the control though. I land mine in my hand or on my balcony. I could land it in a 2 square foot area with total precision. As stated before, a simple extender and amplified antenna could get a bebop showing clear video at 5 miles away if you wanted, although I can't see how that would be useful.

I'm happy if you like that other drone better, but your bashing of the Bebop isn't exactly a reflection of reality. Reminds me of fandroids that bash iPhones. No worries though. Drones are a great hobby and it's hard to not have fun no matter what you're flying.
