This will probably be moved to Off topic. But sometimes, people do offer discounts for people buying with bitcoin, and its a great initiative to get new people on board.

I debated between offtopic or goods, due to the topic relating to goods and bitcoin i decided here, but if the mods choose to move it i do understand.

I'm not really sure if the discount was due to bitcoin and i didn't see any Korting/discount signs anywhere. I just walked in had a look asked how much for that pair and he replied 12.5, once home i noticed the price tag at 17.5.

I almost ordered some takeway with bitcoin but decided not to be lazy and cooked instead. If i lived in Arnhem i could have bought my produce with bitcoin, hopefully soon here! http://www.coindesk.com/dutch-supermarket-joins-arnhems-growing-bitcoin-economy/

tomorrow i am going to another local store to support local merchants accepting BTC

The price has been so volatile it's a bit risky to buy things with bitcoin. I've done a few jobs that ended up being quite good when the price hit $1000 but for those who'd bought an mp3 player at 10btc a year before were a bit upset. Not many (or any?) other currencies are so risky.

Its more of a in store thing. They have a payment terminal provided by bitstraat.nl, I am pretty sure if you wanted to pay bitcoin for a online purchase you could should them an email and they will generate an invoice on their terminal and send you the QR code/ btc address to make payment. That is just speculation on my part though.

I went to the store but did not buy anything, no ELASTICBAND powered planes in stock

Across the road from the above mentioned shop is a wrap/salad/smoothie/juice place, they now also accept bitcoin and last week i was the FIRST customer to pay using bitcoin, the girlfriend enjoyed the treat. sanefood.nl

my intent is to support local business's

I would love to be able to get involved in this topic, but it is so difficult to fins things online in Germany that you can buy with Bitcoin.
I will be ordering in a pizza paid for with BTC next week though, so I can post a photo then!

Close but not quite the same price, although i already own some merino, I find these thicker socks better in boots.
