I have a 2000$ credit with ticketmaster and it needs to be used by the 31st of December. A show got cancelled here 3 months ago and we received our money back and 20% on top of it. So we have 2000$ credit with them.

Aaaaaaand OP is gone.
I would advice anybody to preceed with caution.
The seller claimed that the tickets MUST be sold before the end of 2014, else would they expire, but is not selling again, and is not answering critical question.

Use trusted escrow, and do NOT release funds before the tickets are used.

Well OP mentioned that the balance must be used by 31st of December but never specified a year. The original post was made in 2014 but then bumped up by the OP in 2015.
That could mean that either they did expire in 2014 and OP was trying his luck or that they expire in Dec 2015 and that there are still a few months left to buy the tickets using the balance.
