go elsewhere? what is the reason for this thread again? I picked "laugh", because I laugh at this thread.

It's not exactly funny. Try sad.

People would move to another forum like ecoiner or cryptocointalk. Either that or give up on alt coin forums completely.

I was kinda wondering that myself.

At some point all of the scams associated with premines, ICOs, etc are a liability to bitcoin as the father of crypto.

I don't think they mind competition.  But when we'll over three quarters of the coins are outright scams.  You gotta wonder if they feel this place does more damage to bitcoin than good.  And it's doing more and more

If Altcoin section would go down, maybe I would go outside more and play with my toys.  Grin

I think they do mind "competition" to put it mildly, but this section is a huge traffic magnet.
Also quite a number of staunch card-carrying BTC-only believers are not above fleecing the newbies by indulging
in pumps and dumps and this where they find them easily.

I voted cheer. I think it would be best for btc and alts go their separate ways for time being.

If such a thing happened, this forum would lose a large userbase, and another might take it's place in popularity(among altcoins).

Yeah I don't really know what to think about that so I tend to just stay out of it and save myself the hassle.

Also, if the Altcoin section was shut down, it would be bad for Bitcoin and the majority of people would move to Cryptocointalk. The majority of trade of BTC is through Altcoins and without that, the BTC market would quite likely die off soon after.

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

Thats an easy one, this forum is a 1000x better http://bitcoinlasvegas.net . It has ONLY the important news updated multiple times a day without all the bullshit. Easy to read links to new coins, and wallet updates.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

No Altcoins Section? Bitcointalk Traffic will be down - people will move to Cryptocointalk.
