@dev, why did you fork communitycoin (which forked novacoin) and leave so much specific code in it?

nobody who knows what he is doing would start a coin which is a descendant of novacoin.

why using scrypt as the internal block hashing algo?

scrypt is a PITA and so slow. when you reach block 100000 it'll take ages to open up the wallet.

Look, you saying all this in the forum just to try to break BCF's rise. I have moved the date of the white paper back to 1/30/2014. You can read it then and answer your own questions. An email or PM might of got you a lot further as long as you were respectful instead of accusatory.

Satoshi even said that at some point adding a new hashing algorithm might be necessary at some point. None of us here are weighed down to anything. This is BitCoinFast which in my opinion has the potential to go all the way. When a coin goes all the way or when it goes nowhere you need to realize that there are still options. Its choosing the correct option that is important.

So either put on your googles, helmet and in your case safety belt, and either join us for this historic ride, or turn your trollmobile around and get the F_ck out of here!

hey, hey, calm down, mate.

actually I'm here to help and point out weaknesses of your code. YOU should be respectful instead of accusatory. but admittedly my words were a bit harsh.

so, once again: why did you choose communitycoin? I don't get it!

you could still mine scrypt but internally use sha256 for block storage. like litecoin, dogecoin and a ton of others.

this coin is still very young and it's still pretty easy to eradicate such design flaws.

and hey: get rid of this -> https://github.com/BitCoinFastTeam/bitcoinfast/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L307 to L322 it doesn't make sense at all.

come on, do you want the cummunitycoin devs send the sync-checkpoints for you, or what? https://github.com/BitCoinFastTeam/bitcoinfast/blob/master/src/checkpoints.cpp#L366

you didn't even manage to replace the alert keys, OMG: https://github.com/BitCoinFastTeam/bitcoinfast/blob/master/src/alert.cpp#L19

are you serious with this coin or are you playing the same old boring pump and dump scam game, we have seen all over here. i can stand it any more!

Download team viewer and contact me offline bitcoinfastteam[at]gmail[dot]com I will make a new .conf file for you with the addnodes from getpeerinfo . I will also send you the nodes individually with ports attached for you to enter into the debug console one by one until you see a connection. That should work, at least it did so with mine and I was not able to get mine to synch for at least 18 hours after launch. I just left it open after adding the .conf file into the BitCoinFast Folder in your roaming folder along with the addnodes inside your wallet QT debug console.

We really could use your help and welcome you to the BitCoinFastTeam. I am going to build the strongest community in Crypto around this coin if its the last thing I do. I can't name all the areas we need help there are so many.

Look forward to hearing from you. I am in the Sacramento Valley and always up late so bet a hold of me anytime. I have been working on a forum for us all to work out of. I hope to set up a virtual office for further collaboration and editing of content we post to the public.

Get a hold of me.

Thanks ProfessorCrypto, I had not even notice you were already on it!!!!

Guys- The_Prof and I were among a handful of the first Moderators that Jim the Admin @ CryptoCoinTalk[dot]com ever chose to work as full time volunteers last year. I hope I can get him to give us a little of his time because it goes a long ways. The_Prof has the authority to make final judgement calls here. Please respect that and help him out if and when needed.

Thanks!!!

If you came back in a year your supposed issues which I can not at this time confirm or deny are non issues now and most likely ever.  Next time you want to talk about the code with me do not grand stand it just send me a Private Message or email. However I am not going to get into any specifics regarding future development or forks since as I said the White Paper will be out by 1/30/2015 (My apologies for giving you the incorrect year last time)

Thats about all I have to say other than your a tricky ass S.O.B, however I am really glad you came back man sometimes I get a little heated plus its a must that I maintain control of this project. Plus its not like we are on a field somewhere or in an ally with bats, it takes a lot of talent to lead a group virtually like this. Just when I think I have it down my clock gets cleaned so I cant call it nor frankly can anyone in my opinion. I find to be a strong leader its best just to be myself as much as possible and even being yourself has consequences.

We will talk soon, plus I might possibly need your assistance as an anonymous reviewer of the White Paper before its released at the end of next month. We will see.

k well I download the wallet then I download the github source thingy then I go to my bitcoinfast wallet appdata roaming thing and create a bitcoinfast.conf with the example conf that it shows and when I try to load the wallet I get a (Not Responding) thing beside the top where it says BitcoinFast
