Hello! I'm new on this forum. I have, as a hobby, a candle workshop and recently got paid in Bitcoin and Litecoin. I thought the idea of cryptocurrencies is very interesting, so when a customer asked if I would accept them, I read up on tax-related issues etc and decided - why not?  Right now it's not much, but if there will be more people paying in crypto's, I will have to look for ways to spend them or exchange them.

Always good to see new businesses accepting bitcoin.

I've spent some BTC before, yes, definitely! It truly is an amazing thing, still. But I gotta be honest: The price just doesn't look that bright these days, so I am waiting for better times now. Storing value is also a good thing to do, Bitcoin Smiley

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

I love spending Bitcoin as much as possible, Though were I live there there are no cafe's, physical shops etc. to spend. There are some ATM's but haven't bothered to check them out, though i'd love to try a two way one.

As for online, I enjoy spending it, its easy and fast. And usually the things I buy tend to be cheaper, especially on marketplaces like here where people are eager to get their hands on Bitcoin.

Also, I make plenty of my income in pure Bitcoin, so that is maybe the reason why I don't mind spending. I still have enough BTC stored if the price does increase like mad. I just see it as my savings account, and then I have my regular account for spending.

Well, if more people are willing to pay in Bitcoin, I don't see why I wouldn't accept them. Of course, it may not be very practical to buy candles for bitcoin and pay a fortune to have them shipped halfway across the world  Grin

The only thing I would like is a way to be protected somewhat against fluctations in the bitcoin market - I'd rather not sell $100 in Bitcoin and find that the next day, it's only worth $25. I talked to some other small business owners around here, and that seems to be the one thing that's stopping many from accepting cryptocurrencies. (That, and not knowing what they are).

I did spend Bitcoin as well as Litecoin when I got some, but that was for IT services, not goods.

No I haven't. I've been a persistent horder, but I might actually start spending the coins where I can just to promote the use of bitcoin, but then buy the coins back so I've not lost any.

That's actually the best method of Bitcoining nowadays, to promote and to stay a consistent bagholder.

Gots to spend it for adoption and show off the utilities of BTC, but at the same time you want to replenish and HODL for the inevitable moonshot.

Nope. I am buying bitcoin every month with part of my wage, and keep them safely in my wallet. I haven't spent my bitcoin and haven't been scammed.

Same about the buying a little bit every month, though I have also spent a tiny little bit on things like gambling (but lost it fuuuuu lol).
