It is interesting to ask : "who is he speaking to"?
Who is he trying to convince?  Does he want the consumer to avoid bitcoin?  Does he want a merchant to mistrust bitcoin?  No.  Neither of these.

He is actually speaking to himself.  He is trying to convince himself bitcoin is bad.  He knows he will lose his whole company very soon - so he is trying to convince himself of the evils of Bitcoin.

Wow!

He doesn't even sound like he believes anything he's saying.

It's like his marketing firm wrote up a script, put him in front of a teleprompter, and said, "Here, read this."

On top of that, it is clear that the person that wrote that script put very little effort into understanding what they were writing about. Between the contradictions, the false statements, and the FUD I've seen less obvious trolls here at bitcointalk.

This isn't a surprise at all, MasterCard just want to be the only player on the market.

Bitcoin is gaining popularity as payment solution, and MasterCard knows that.

Scary thought if they consider what will happen to MasterCard if Bitcoin's global adoption really takes off.

If a new person looks at the video he might thing negative of bitcoin if he doesn't know much about the technology.
We need something big for bitcoin, to prove him wrong.

The guy fails to come up with a single new idea. Everything he says has already been told years ago, and that hasn't stopped BTC from growing.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

He's being groomed for a high level position at Goldman Sachs. This is their hazing ritual.

"NOW, We at mastercard are not completely uuum comfortable with the idear of cryptocurrency largely because they go against the whole principle we have established our business on which is moving to a world beyond cash....."

I call BULLSHIT

Mastercards banks and other credit card companies established their company on the principles of Principal interest payments, huge transaction fees, membership fees, and any other fees they can scrounge up to fill their paper wallets with fiat and empty thier consumers paper wallets as quickly as possible.

What is the real problem Mastrcard has with Bitcoins

2008 Mastercard profit margin 59.9%
2013 Mastercard profit margin 36.5%

the Real problem Mastercard has with bitcoin is they stand to lose 4 Billion dollars a year of their consumers money they rake in profits from their fees, annual fees, transaction fees interest payments and any other fee thay can come up with.

It has nothing to do with Moving to a world beyond cash it has everything to do with mastercard execs moving to a world with NO CASH in their pockets anymore HAHAHA
