what is your other choice for investment for a virtual currency after bitcoins?which virtual currency could gain value in the coming months?dogecoins?ethercoins?litecoins?

Mine is Bitshares. I have put every last BTC in it.

Due to the poor marketing efforts not many outside our own community know about it. You can check out bitsharestalk.org

Agreed on clam... I think the jury is still out on paycoin. I think demand for darkcoin is going to spike in 2015 again.

Take a look at Saffroncoin.
Price is so low right now. It can only rise .
Dev always delivers. (check the thread ) (not moderated since begining)
SFRDirect will be released soon (in the matter of days (at max) ). Decentralized Exchange.
It is shortterm investition. But it is one of the best investment oportunities right now.

Maidsafecoins for on chain aka related to Bitcoin stuff
Clams for off chains but because of the way they are distributed they have potential

I like doge lite etc as well but the above two are my picks

LTC and XMR for me.

Weird choice. Both of these currencies was not doing good lately.

Anyway, Bitcoin is my only choice Smiley

For me, my best choices for investment after bitcoins are:

 * XRP, when it was at 0.0049 each I purchased like 19,000 XRP, now I see that I should have purchased more (Hey, I didn't knew at that time if XRP was going to continue going down, I saw it oscillate between 0.0049 and 0.0047 which hinted me that it might go further down, then I forgot about XRP, then fast foward exactly 40 days later I see 0.0135 and I said, NO WAY! I bet it wont go any higher and it will start going back down, I was hesistant so I didn't purchase more at that price, only when I saw it go to 0.0159 was that I started to panic buy and I sent 3 BTC from my coinbase account to kraken and purchased a few thousands XRP so my XRP total balance now reads 95,000 while I day dream of the day where XRP might reach the price of 25.00 each so that I can have 2.3 million dollars, and the speed I see XRP going up this can be totally possible within a few more years, so this XRP buy will be a long term hold wait-and-see...

 * BTC, I keep on buying BTC on coinbase from time to time when I get more money from my self-employment job (Computer Tech) as part of my long term investment portfolio.  I am currently designing a computer retail website where I plan to accept only Bitcoin and XRP as payment method, I expect to make lots of BTC's and XRP's upon launch.

 * IFC (InfiniteCoin), I purchased 10,000,000 IFC off some guy on Ebay around the Nov of 2013 right before last bitcoin's bubble, and I am holding it to see what happens to it in the future.  IFC has fast halving periods which is promising at increasing its value over a long term period.

 * DOGE, I have over  100,000 DOGE's with me just for the sakes, another long term portfolio.

 * COL - CollosusCoin, I traded, I think 10 to 25 litecoins a few months ago for over 700,000,000 COL when its price was 0.00000003 (LTC) each at cryptsy and I am holding it in case if COL goes to the moon in the future.

 * I purchased millions of other coins I saw at cryptsy whose value didn't exceed a max of 0.00000008 BTC/LTC at most for holding purposes.

So, I threw some random shots as different ALT coins to see if I hit the right target in the future.

Overall, the one that I see more promising above all is XRP, and I plan to continue adding to XRP each time I see it go back to at least 0.016x which that has been happening within the past 3 days, it goes up to 0.0175 when I go to sleep and then when I wake up I see its at 0.0160 I figure its people selling their XRP to BTC when its at 0.017x and buying back in when its at 0.016x but when I examine the ripplecharts website to see long term movements I only see one direction, up up and up, so it would be prudent to just buy lots of XRP's, toss out the key, then check back at it a few years later to see any ROI.

every coin @coinmarketcap top 100 P&D, not invest just flip Smiley Smiley

This is true.

Also, my portfolio:

LTC
VTC
NXT
HBN
some Doge
Ethereum once it comes out and I can buy it

This is all, but if I had more cash to spare perhaps I could diversify even more.
