Since the Mt Gox scandal has made people wary, could you guy give your opinion on what is considered the best exchange to buy and sell coins at the moment?

The criteria would include:

-Board members who are known and respected
-Audited accounts
-Strong banking links
-Well capitalized
-Good AML policy
-Verified safety for their bitcoin storage
etc.

Thanks

What do you mean by "Good AML policy"?
  • Good at not getting shut down by regulators?
  • Good at preventing money laundering from happening on their platform?
  • Good at not harassing customers with onerous identity requirements and funding limits?

Are you talking about a general exchange or a BTC to alternative currency exchange?

I think it's mainly a personal preference for most people.

I'm from Europe, so my exchanges of choice are Bitstamp and BTC-E.

People from USA and Asia might prefer to use other exchanges.

I'd vote for bitstamp. Using them for nearly 2 years. Withdraws are always fast (2 days)
