It comes shipped in a standard openable slab.

Buy now!  As advertised in Bowl Merchandise section on StPetersburgBowl.com.  Direct link to coin: https://www.strydeathletic.com/shop/bitcoin-bowl/bitcoin-coin/

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Very nice initiative and the coins looks absolutely great.

The site says there are 10 in stock, does that mean only 10 have ever been made?

I made 2000.  Many of them won't be available on the market, Santa Claus got first dibs. Wink

Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

I'm working with them on the quantity to remedy the "out of stock" condition.

They probably didn't anticipate selling out that fast.  Most football toss coins aren't bitcoins and don't sell that fast Smiley

Very nice looking coin! Would go well with my Gold/Silver 1 BTC.

Is there any opportunity for international orders?

Does their site (assuming not out of stock) not permit them?  (I haven't gone thru the process)

Ah, I've been waiting for this since I happened to stumble across your new blog post a month or so ago- it looks great though! Really cool that they let you design the coin toss coin- it's only fitting to have the original maker of physical Bitcoins make the coin for the first bowl game sponsored by Bitcoin (BitPay)!       (I also gotta give props to BitPay for letting them call it the "Bitcoin Bowl" instead of the BitPay Bowl. Getting the word out about Bitcoin benefits BitPay just as much if not more in the long run!)

Unfortunately the Christmas season has me maxed out on funds- hopefully there will be one or 2 left in another week or so! Will check back ASAP!

These are awesome. Tried buying with bitcoin and bitpay but kept getting an error. Had to use card instead. Just me? Would like to buy a few more paying with BTC.
