Xbox One Console Assassin's Creed: Unity Bundle + 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership + $40 Newegg Gift Card for $349.99 - $101.50 with promo code BITCOINXBOX100 with BitCoin Checkout (Must pay with BitCoins) = $248.49 + $4.99 Shipping = $253.48

This price beats all black friday deals on xbox one. Xbox live = $50, gift card = $40, two games = $40, the console nets out to be $120, cheaper than the previous gen of xbox 360...

I think newegg is longing bitcoin by running promotions like this. I believe more and more retailers, especially IT ones, will store bitcoin and invest their storage into small bitcoin start-ups.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It's just a great deal that they offer, don't think they will keep the Bitcoins.

As far as I know BitPay pays newegg in fiat for every Bitcoin purchase.

Well, with BitPay the merchant can opt to receive a percentage of the sale in Bitcoin, or even all of it. So you can't say for sure.

There was a post on Reddit from one of the BitPay reps who said around 50% of its merchants were keeping some of the money in Bitcoin:

As far as I know they keep 100% Bitcoin

The usefulness of the unqualified analysis is wonderful!

Seems like a cool way to make BTC more exposed. Maybe parents will see it and take advantage of it

Newegg is nice, but it's hard sometimes to figure out if they are selling it or one of their resellers (who don't always seem to take Bitcoin) I got snagged on that a few months back, so I use TigerDirect now.

Speaking of which I need to pick up some stuff. Wish Bitcoin wasn't in the dumps as of late...

I got a question. In Germany the Xbob One is right now much more expensive.

Would'nt it be a nice way to make money for me to do the following:
-Buy Xbox one on newegg.com for 250$ with Bitcoin
-Let it send to shipito.com and let them send me the package for about 50$

So in total I payed 300$ for a complete Xbox One send to Germany, that is right now about 250€.
A big electronic market in my country are selling exactly that package for right now 400:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Microsoft-XBOX-ONE-500GB-Assasins-Creed-DLC-/181610313507?pt=DE_Konsolen&hash=item2a48d17723

Have I forgot something or can I get more rich quick with this method?

This is great news. Using bitcoin is good fir vendors so they should be incentivising it's use. This is one of the few real examples I have seen of that happening.

Yes, this makes sense to me.

I mean, why Newegg should offer this discount for BTC payments if the objective is to swap them for FIAT?
Why don't offer it (also) in USD in the first place?

If you try it the postman will probably refuse to hand over your parcel unless you pay him the tax on your doorstep. I think a customs label has to say what's in the parcel to stop people avoiding the tax.
