The Bitcoin Bowl

I could care less about college sports, but seeing the bitcoin bowl. OMG Just seeing bitpay and bitcoin everywhere it was amazing! I don't think I could have even dreamed this when I started in bitcoins. The bitpay credit credit commercial everytime it runs I just cry a bit. They show casascius coins before every other little branding thing before heading back to the game. I have to write mike and just let him know that is sick!

They have shown us the future, if it is only for 1 night, and I am not ready for it, but my seat belt is tight as hell!

Sadly I can't watch the entire game (leaving during the 4th quarter, I am not at the game), but NC state is up by a lot of points so I think they are going to win.

I find it incredible too. Tony is a smart guy. They're doing this not just for BitPay, but for all of the Bitcoin world.

Yes was good to see also tickets to game and concession stand items could be purchased with bitcoin for the game....

It promotes awareness which is the aim. Next time if they see it somewhere else they will remember and gradually they will get used to Bitcoin and may buy it.

I was there, and you couldn't buy concessions with bitcoins. My understanding is that they couldn't reach an agreement with the Tampa Bay Rays (the stadium's team) to set it up.

It is not that simple, the price is dropping because people are spending from their hoards without replenishing, and more merchants accepting Bitcoin makes that easier. Merchants generally have slim margins and we should never expect them to hold bitcoins even if they don't immediately exchange for fiat. So, I wouldn't look to them to support the price.
