I am not sure how many people would want to give out their email address
and other personal information to register at a strange site, just to get little as 0.001 BTC.
I don't like doing that. I am always suspicious of sites that ask for email addresses and
other personal information. There is seldom any reason any site should need that information.
Most of the free bitcoin faucet sites don't ask for that.
Sites that do ask for that kind of information get extra scrutiny before being added to the list,
and even then are watched carefully.
The good thing, imo, about a list like this on this forum is that the whole community can
participate in watching these sites and if there is any problems with any of the sites it is
reported quickly.
Which is why it is better to watch this thread rather than using 'free bitcoin' lists on
the many webpages which have them... more often than not they just want to get
people to their pages to view the ads, or whatever, and don't put much time or
attention into verifying or updating their listings... and often have their links hidden
behind spammy coinurl and adfly type link redirectors.
This list here is watched by not only the forum moderators but very many forum members
who use these faucets everyday.
