I tested cell reception out at the site. I have tmobile and it worked just fine. I'll be around all week for face-to-face cash exchanges too. If you want to pay for dinner with Bitcoin, just make sure I'm invited to the party lol

Idea Alert...

Is anyone interested in doing a flashcoin event at a stripclub? If so, I'll start actively looking for girls who get it and will be willing to accept bitcoin during defcon. We'd all have to be willing to meet at the same club at the same time and have our bitcoins at the ready. Where just depends on what girls I could attract for the event and where they work.

If your going to be at Defcon, as a local, and choose a cool place in the area a typical tourist like me wouldnt stumble upon, and its on me..

Then, I believe we'll be having breakfast together on or about Sunday morning! It's a little out of the way, but a great venue off the strip to take in some scenery and talk about Bitcoin. Requires an early start to make it back for the talks.

BTW, anyone going to bsides prior?

I am not connected enough with Defcon to know anything about pirates.

I go, listen to talks, hang out with coworkers and friends from out of town, and now mostly chaperone my kid at the kid events. That's the extent of my social network at defcon.

With that, I'd love to hear what pirates is all about. Arrrr.

Is there anyone out there that could secure 2 real badges for me thats not going to shoot ?

Would be willing to pay $20 over spot price..  as in $440 for two.  Each real badge is $200

Anyone willing to help here ?  Thanks..

Ok, 1 week away from this..  Smiley

Im looking forward to meeting some of you peeps, and hopefully this Pirate meet up can be for all to enjoy...

Tux, how many kids do you have into bitcoin ?  I got a very small bitcoin-esque treat for them...

Also how is getting badges looking ? And would you prefer cash at the shoot for them or bitcoins, ontop of my btc to cash exchange we are doing?

Im getting excited, this shall prove to be an epic bitcoin user week for me..  The usefulness of these bitcoins is going to prove its worth  very shortly...

I will be there and will bring Casascius Coins for anyone wanting to do a deal in person.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.
