Crypto4jan, I don't think it makes sense to manually send coins to people who are staking.

It already gives % interest now. Sure that doesn't reward more for being more active staker(unless you count compound interest),
but in the future I can make the staking reward be a fixed number of coins per block to reward more active stakers.
Hi Cinnicoin,

Thank you that you take part of the discussion. It is not my intention to send manually but with a script.
By VPN coin that was also the case that they lookt at you wallet online and with a script a got then extra reward being online.
If we put some randomnes into that it can be very intresting to keep your wallets online.
The STK has to be donated from STK big holders get. So we need a fund for the extra stake and I donate 1500 STK for a start if we create this script for StakeCoin.

But your sugestion for a "partly" fixed number of blockreward is also a nice option. Is that alraidy done for some currency?
It is also more in the filosophy of "StakeCoin" the create a feature like that if think now.
Then you can see staking as a kind of mining and that attract maybe new people for this currency.
With a wallet online 24/7 you have then many change to win extra reward.
I think that it a good first start for future development. We keep the script-lottery in mind and go for your idea!
I can tweet this when it is ready.

No it's not a new feature.
So stakecoin did not invent it or anything.
It has been done by like 100 coins. So it's not a big deal.
But it has the idea that you are wanting, about rewarding those who stake frequently more than people who stake not frequently.

But, hard forks should be avoided so if i was going to add this then it would need to be with other things that need a hard fork too to package them in one.
So an update including this would be months away.

Ok that is clear and good for community to know what they can expect in the future it creates value and trust.
Is it really necessary a hard-fork for this?
It can also have a lotto espect if we want that to include.
A random number of a block get more reward per day.
Is it also posible to monitor the wallet online-time with the API of the Block Exporer and use that for extra rewards?
With a seperate script it is posible but can it be coded into wallet clients?

Some other questions I want to ask you here:
- can you create a StakeCoin... website with some info we want to share?
- Is twitter @StakeCoin from you?

Edit: I realy like if you can add "setstakesplitthreshold" (send you the info by PM)
I have now two weeks 24/7 a 8k STK wallet online and grows rapitly.
I merged some blocks into a new block: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/block.dws?258127.htm
I think a block of 1 STK must not be splited after getting a PoS-Stake.

A tip for the community to split out coins over more wallets and use then dumpprivkey and create a dedicated wallet with importprivkey the extra addresses.
For blockexplorer the rich list gives more distribution and you can controll seperate addresses with the seperate wallets.
So not create extra addresses into one wallet but use importprivkey from several wallets.
You get then this:

And the 5 wallet addresses I fill from the start wallet.
Check this block: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/block.dws?258122.htm
And this one: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/block.dws?258121.htm

The resuld

My donation wallet is also active but very fragmeted and I know CinniCoin can easy implement setstakesplitthreshold no fork needed for that.
I check how quick this wallet is fragmeted I thik 1 or two weeks.

Hi Stakeholders,

I did an investigate with the block explorer on the rich wallet distribution.
Check this:

Source: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/#!wallets
I colloured the wallets that the must belong to one holder.
They did the same as me discribed in the previous post: create a wallet export the addres with dumprivkey and import into a new wallet.
On basis of that you can group the wallets becouse of the time-stamp ofline.
I know CinniCoin is #2 but he is also 6,7 and 12 to total STK he owns is 212k STK
Number 4 owns also 13 so total 89 STK
Number 10 owns also 14 and 15 so total 112 STK

Why are these big coin holders not online the past 5 days?
I'm happy with the donations I got to secure the network but the big wallets must also stake 24/7!

Tip: Link to source for tipbot: https://github.com/mohland/dogetipbot
I think forking is not needed but you have to develop someting soon CinniCoin! and I give you much sugestions.
We can work on a PI-wallet, a webwallet and much more.

Why I put all the effort in reanimate StakeCoin and I have only 1% of stake?
I see value for cooperate with some other coins to create a platform.
See it as a Supernet solution for enviriomental PoS-currencies.
I have a very skillfull developer behind me working on bigger plan called: "Internet of Coins".
EnergyCoin, StakeCoin and OrangeCoin can be one of the first coins into that framework.
CinniCoin and community give me a serious sign that you want work together!
I can spend my time to other strategies if I see no progress in what I have in mind.

EDIT:
Only 5 nonnections and 42.9% of the coins staking are mine!

Source: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/#!network
This looks very bad and must change quick!

I made a tweet for this wallet-online map (version EnergyCoin)
https://twitter.com/GEO_Jan/status/629603812613996544
I can also tweet the StakeCoin version but then we need more nodes online first.

Blockexplorer gives now also 11 connections.
Very nice. I have to shut down my PC for hollydays but I think StakeCoin can survive!
I hope on some updates soon from CinniCoin and then we are ready for the future.
Back in 3 weeks.

Is stakecoin dead now?
I hope CinniCoin can restart.
Send him a PM.
I have no pc online to support.

Hi
I will ask the block explorer if its a block explorer problem or a blockchain problem.

Blockchain (or stakers?) problem, the explorer wallet up, though with only few connections (3, germany, north carolina & france), and they are all at the same height.

As you can see in the extraction tab, 98% of the last 100 blocks were by rich list #16, so that's only one staker, or the network forked...
There was a high number of orphans up to the 22 (meaning the network was fragile, and/or the explorer wallet was acting as go-between between two different geo-locations, like asia/europe vs US), the orphans went down drastically on the 23, so a fork is possible, or several stakers went offline at the same time.

The explorer's wallet sees no other chain in its peers, but there may be some addnode that could help.

Are there options to restart?
Only 1 connection: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/#
There where 2 POS events after the Blockchain stuck.
I can't help with node now.
In one week I'm back home and can restart my PC.

Well yeah It's stuck again. Because people are not staking anymore.
I'll make the pos reward a fixed number per block as you suggested. That should give people more incentive to stake regularly instead of only staking to get interest.
Once we decide on what the pos reward per block should be, I'll make the changes on github and compile the wallets and ask CryptoId and Yobit and everyone to update.
Ok?
So what do you think the pos reward should be? Is 0.2 STK per block a good amount? And how far from the update should the hard fork take place? Should the hard fork take place 2 weeks after the wallet is updated?

Hi CinniCoin,
This change can be a great move.
A pos reward of 0.2 looks small to me or is it a combination with normal pos and fixed pos?
How much coins are generated each day if all the coins are staking?
Divide that number by the created blocks and that is a fair Pos reward if the fixed pos reward is the only reward for StakeCoin.

Ok the time period for the fork?
First we need more nodes (also VPS) before we can start-up again.
How long can you wait for start-up again?
We have to prepare this start-up carefully but my time is limited the time frame we have also I think.
So 2 weeks from start-up to fork is ok.
Is two weeks before start-up also possible for the exchange?

What about CINNI?
CINNI is on the front page and the data is not correct I think, there were never 150.000.000 CININI?
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cinni/#markets
You can ask then to correct the data or beter ask them to remove CINNI.
How much CINNI is traded on Cryptsy?
If you give them an opportunity to swap to the new StakeCoin then you have listing on Cryptsy.
Is the CINNI block chain is dead or still alive?

Can you make a web-page for StakeCoin and twitter page and Facebook?
Because we need channels to promote the new StakeCoin.
An IRC-channel maybe with a tip-bot?
We need a reward program to attract people to StakeCoin and get their wallets online for the fixed pos-reward.

Ok this was just some brain storm we can continue and maybe other community members have also some good idea's.
This situation is also a change to create new opportunities.

Will update stakecoin soon.
Just need to decide on a block reward first.
If its too low, people won't stake.
And if its too high, then there would be alot of inflation.
What do you think the block reward should be for staking?

I see 1300 blocks per day and about 250-10000 POS-rewards per day.
You sugested 0.2 but I think 2 is a nice number.
Only 2600 STK per day inflation
365 * 2600 = 91000 that is 5% per year total coins.
That is I think not so bad and if STK becomes populair staking is then very profitable.

But 2 coins per block means 985,500 new coins per year. Not 91,000.

Each year there are 492,750 blocks.
The current supply is 1,136,965.7 STK.

0.2 coins per block = 8.67% inflation
0.35 coins per block = 15% inflation
0.5 coins per block = 21.6% inflation
2 coins per block = 86.6% inflation

Oops..
Yes then 0.2 is a nice reward. Sorry I made a mistake in my calculation.
Maybe creat also bonus blockes with 10 coins reward about once a day on round numbers 1k blocks or someting else extra reward options.
Can empty wallets also stake with this new reward protocol or do you need weight?

Working on the update or keep it as it is?
I ordered 2 VPS i7  for 0,3 BTC 1 year.
VPS is also good for STK, I can give you details if you want.
The network for STK is still very poor with 4-5 nodes.
