Now that these private keys are compromised, I sure hope nobody decides to import them, biggest mistake ever.

I haven't read up on the address generation protocol, but here's a question... Would it be possible to have a dedicated machine for generating addresses, and is it possible to be lucky and generate an existing address with actual balance? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

OR
just use vanitygen, and make addresses with the custom at the beginning so it is readable.
Plus its a trusted program, not some new thing.

Nothing prevents it, it would just take you billions of years, with all the computers on EARTH bruteforcing. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=892752.msg9909378#msg9909378

I'm just talking about generating random addresses as fast as possible. But I believe the answer would be the same... And here's a nice infographic I found on your link https://i.imgur.com/IL6PV5E.jpg

But don't expect get one already generated by someone else in your lifetime
