I'm pretty sure primecoin does both cpu and gpu.  They measure things in "chains" and it's sort of confusing to me.  I mined XPM (primecoin) with both cpu and gpu for a while but lost interest.  The difficulty really shot up so it wasn't worthwhile.  Hmmmm actually difficulty isn't bad now and the value is up a bit so might be worth looking into again.

edit: nevermind about the value... I misread something and thought it was up around $1 but it's barely ten cents

Every coin that supports a GPU, supports CPU. Any coin that has ASICs, has support for GPU too.
The only ones that wouldn't fit are cpu-only coins ^^" But I don't know of algos/coins that have GPU and no CPU Tongue

Support for hardware is generally like this:

CPU  >  GPU  >  ASIC

So all ASIC-mineable coins support GPU & CPU, too - whether it's profitable or not is a different matter.

1) if so, who cares?

and

2) prove it.

Unitus has algos for CPU and GPU. In theory its parent coin Myriad should have CPU support as well but in practice all algos have been efficiently ported to GPUs.
and which algorithm support CPU and GPU ?
No "algorithm" supports CPU or GPU... because "algorithm" is an abstract entity.
Better question would be: which algorithm got implementations on both CPU and GPU?
Most, if not all algorithms have been implemented to run on both CPU and GPU. Whatever they run efficiently is another matter.
and which sites pools support CPU and GPU ?
Pools are not interested in this difference. All they care is you send them good work.

1) All legitimate people interested in a coin's future use (not the price) will care. People wanting to pump & dump won't care.

2) Not to mention the trillions of threads already on this forum, I'll just point to one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=755840.0

1) The same number of Monero will me created by mining every day, regardless of the  network hashrate or the source of the hashrate.

2) Conjecture.

1) Unfair distribution

2) Rather than going through the same discussion already posted in that thread over and over again, let's just agree to disagree here.

Feathercoin has changed it's algorithm to NeoScrypt and can only be mined with GPU or CPU. I've been mining it with great results.

I disagree. I'm more inclined to point my fingers at sellers.

I'd say it's both ^^" Less interest/money into crypto in general causes miners to fight over a few cents. Before, if they lost on a coin, they'll surely win it back some other day because there was still money flowing into the scene. Nowadays, that gold vein has ran dry, and we're all squirming in its mud Smiley
