Sad. This marks Dean/betking.io moving into actual scam territory. The BKB token was an instrument that allow Dean to speculate in bitcoin price: He made a personal profit/loss from the buy back scheme depending on the current crypto prices compared to the ICO price.  While I know people were a bit upset when the price of crypto (especially bitcoin) sky-rocketed but the token price was still fixed to USD -- however it was always defended as fair because had crypto prices dropped -- the tokens would still have the buy-back scheme and still priced in USD and Dean would be taking a personal loss.

So he's been happy arbitrarily changing the terms, reaping the benefits when it was in his favor (even offering accelerated buybacks when bitcoin price was high) and now that BTC price is slightly lower ($4250 USD vs $4596) instead of taking a loss, he's just telling investors to fuck off. "Half the profit" thing is insulting, especially when he's pretty much sabotaged any potential for the site to make money and done ridiculous things like adding *another* investor-funded instead of using ICO funds like it was intended. (and the site is pretty much dead anyway)

On a personal note, I kind of dodged a bullet here. Dean spent quite a lot of time recently giving me extremely attractive offers to buy a large amount of BKB. I never accepted it, as the terms were so much in my favor it didn't make sense (compared to he could've had the same exposure for a fraction of the price by going on bitmex) and when I asked him how low btc price would need to get before he could no longer do the the buybacks , and he insisted that it could never happen and even if bitcoin price went down to $1 he had systems in place to sell btc to ensure he could always make investors whole. Now it's pretty clear the whole thing was in bad-faith, and the second things turned against him he pulls the plug.

Oh and to top it all off, this part really me laugh:

Quote
Once the new site is live BKB will be converted to BTSC (BitSafe Coin) automatically using the exchange rate of both tokens at the time.

...which is currently significantly less than half its "buy back price"  Roll Eyes  Man, investors really got screwed here pretty badly. But if anyone feels left out from this reverse-gangbang at least he's offering a new ICO to get into.
The BKB fantasy token scam terms and conditions clearly stated that winnings and losses of the currencies will be calculated into the BKB fantasy token price!

Quote
The token value is calculated as:

I + (P /100,000,000)

Where I is the initial token price after the IC0, $0.09286 and P is the total site profit from all games and currencies at the current exchange rate in $.

If potential investors are too lazy to put "betking scam" into google, then they are bad investors!

So not only did he lie pretty much straight into your face he tried to drag you into it. Arguably knowing you would probably get screwed. As far as I know there was some crumbs of information regarding an exchange from him somewhere. Fail to remember where exactly I saw that.

Sadly it is clear scammer Dean Nolan tried to dupe RHavar in to buying useless and worthless betking tokens. He tried to do it full in the knowledge he was going to close the betking website down and re-brand it as "bitsafe" then use some pathetic formula to convert betking tokens in to bitsafe tokens. He was trying to scam RHavar but thankfully it never happened. How many others has Dean Nolan actually scammed and got away with it?

Now everybody knows how much of a major scammer Dean Nolan is and that his betking website is his vehicle to scam.

Dean Nolan is not a coder, he cannot code a single line.

He hires coders to login via FTP to make modifications for him.

He does not have a clue about how to configure the Cloudflare Free service. Somebody changed something in the code and now its causing Cloudflare issues.

Maybe Dean Nolan was trying to make a simple change in the code himself but he could not even get that right.

seriously I don't get it , you decided to close sportsbetting but now you are offering 20 BTC in prizes  !!!
I find this so strange , why to give away 20 BTC if the site is already not making money or in other words if the site can afford offering 20 BTC in prizes then why you closed sportsbetting and poker  Huh

if that money was spent well on poker and sportsbetting I could see betking really having huge success

Everything about the way the scammer Dean Nolan operates is strange. The winner will probably be his own alias.

The scammer Dean Nolan is closing down his betking scam and opening a crypto exchange instead so betking really has no chance of success because its reputation is in tatters after scammer Dean Nolan thought he successfully wriggled his way out of paying 2 BTC licence fee for the Crash game. Then he made counter-allegations against those he stole the software from and then everybody accepted he was a scammer but some of us have been shouting about it trying to protect people for years.

He continues to sell "invest in betking" by buying betking tokens but has not mentioned on the website that he will transfer them over to his next scam "bitsafe"  exchange and failed to mention that betking is closing down.

Lots of complaints against this scam website. Please beware, do not use the betking website.

Many things happened in the past that people will not forget. Most recent he scammed a user here out of paying 2 BTC licence fee for software he was using without permission. The betking website no longer displays the Crypto Gambling Foundation seal. The list goes on...

Dean Nolan and betking are called scammer and scam for a reason.

No surprise the page has been deleted by the scammer Dean Nolan, just like he deleted my posts here in his censored thread

Check these out:

There is too much evidence in the forum to show Dean Nolan to be a scammer

BEWARE - betking and Dean Nolan are very well known throughout this forum as scam and scammer

This post was deleted by scammer Dean Nolan in the Betking thread. He did say he was leaving and would not return back to bitcointalk but the scammer just could not keep away and runs a censored thread where he deletes any post he wants to because it exposes his scams or criticises him and his scam website.

I don't there were any rules stating multiple accounts weren't allowed. At any rate, that isn't a reason to cancel the whole promotion and not pay out the players who placed fairly.

If anything, the wagers from multi-accounters should be combined which would push other people up the board more. I placed fairly and am quite upset the promotion isn't going to be paid out as described.

The scammer Dean Nolan does not want to pay the winnings. Simple.

The "Christmas wager" scam was similar to the "Win 50 BTC Jackpot To Celebrate betking re-launch" scam that Dean Nolan the scammer had running in 2017: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4873939.0

The whole forum knows betking and Dean Nolan are commonly referred to as scam and scammer

THIS WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST SCAM EVER.

I WAS SKEPTIC OF HIM GIVING 20BTC COS I KNOW DEAN IS NOT THAT GENEROUS. I NEVER KNEW HE HAD A SELFISH PLAN TO LURE INOOCENT PLAYERS AS USUAL. WHEN THE CONTEST STARTED, MANY BIG PLAYERS WHERE NOT THERE. BUT 4 HOURS TO THE END OF THE CONTEST, VERY BIG BETS STARTED POPPING UP. QUESTION NOW IS. WHERE WHERE ALL THESE PLAYERS DAYS BEFORE THE CONTEST.

CONCLUSION: DEAN LURED GUYS TO PLAY, RIGGED THEM OF THEIR CASH, THEN USED HIS BANROLL  TO PLAY AD KICK OFF ALL WINNERS.
BE SMRTER NEXT TIME SCAMMER

I could not have put it better myself.

You are absolutely right, scammer Dean Nolan had a plan to lure innocent newbies or gullible players on to his scam betking website.
The reason he cancelled the Christmas wager and refused to pay over 20 BTC to the legitimate winners was because he was not happy so many people won so many BTC and he did not want to pay them.

The theory is half-contrived. There is the possibility of fraudulent play but in consideration with most wagering contests that are +ev, few would start betting large amounts prior to the final day, since it does not guarantee their position.

Much of the time, you will see players enter high volumes within the final hour (or even final minutes). This is parallel to when there were weekly wagering competitions: if you inspected the betting amounts on the final day as opposed to the others, it would be a huge dichotomy.

The question has been asked before but will remain unanswered: Why did this scammer set up the promotion with such a format where he was almost always going to lose out?

There is nothing provided by scammer Dean Nolan that can be used to negate the facts that he refused to pay over 20 BTC to legitimate winners of the 2018 Christmas wager promotion.

https://betking.io/provably-fair

Look how ironic and hypocritical is the statement from scammer Dean Nolan as it appear in his scam betking website: "The worse fear a player has playing at an online casino is being cheated by the site they are playing at. In the Bitcoin gambling community a standard solution has been developed to allow players to verify the results of their bets to prove that the house did not alter them in their favor"

Scammer Dean Nolan refuses to pay out over 20 BTC that was won by legitimate winners of the 2018 Christmas wager contest.

Thankfully since his latest scam a few days ago the information against him has been flooding in. The UK police will be chatting to scammer Dean Nolan soon after the evidence is presented to them.

I have been playing in this site for years now. I can tell you deal aint straight forward. I knew the wager contest was a scam.  this is exactly what happened there. dean puts up a very enticing contest. expects a few whales to come play so he can scam them. a few normal players came playing and  kept wagering. on the final day, few hours before end of contest, dean creates a few accounts to kick all the legit players by betting 0.1btc at 98% chance. he succeeds in kicking most of the legit layers out , but there are a few stuborn ones that refused to get kicked off. those few play and win part of the contest. dean gets angry that his plan to scam didn't work out as planned . FINALLY, dean comes up with a lame excuse not to pay anyone. notice that after the contest, he didn't say anything about the contest or even bother to post the winners in his Instagram?  man I pray this guy dies painfully soon for all this annoying scams

I am compiling a case file against him to present to the UK police, should be completed within 4-6 weeks hopefully so let us wait and see what happens regards to his scams.

Well I would not go that far as to wish him a painful death but I wish there will be enough evidence against him for the UK police to take action against him. Since the Christmas wager scam lots of people have contributed lots of information against scammer Dean Nolan, lots of new information. The irony is the very same people that were posting positive things and coming to the defence of scammer Dean Nolan believing he was a genuine person are the very same people that are now sending lots of information via PM and some are openly posting against him.

It has been confirmed from multiple sources (with actual evidence) the scammer lives in the UK with Scottish roots, his present whereabouts and some vital information about certain activities which would interest UK police. The list is quite extensive and it would me a major mistake to elaborate further as the first this scammer should know about these is when the UK police actually ask him those questions rather than him knowing the questions in advance.

The way you explained how he carried out the Christmas wager scam is perfect, that was my suspicion exactly. Had he not carried out this latest scam the flurry of information against was not coming my way but now he has scammed again, it was basically scammer Dean Nolan incriminating himself because he allowed those people that never contacted me before a perfect reason to send PMs and send information against him.

I was shouting out against this scammer since the 2017 betking ICO but many of the bounty participants with betking avatars and signatures were ganging up and drowning out with abuse the few of us that were trying to expose this serial scammer. Now there is nobody to defend this fool in the forum because there are no bounties on offer.

As I said, I do not agree with you when you say you wish scammer Dean Nolan "a painful death soon for all these annoying scams" but understand your grievances against this scammer Dean Nolan. I would prefer to see UK police investigate him thoroughly and with the help of my case files it would be essential and then of course hope the police take action which would hopefully result in jail time for this pathetic serial scammer.
