Quick survey:

1. Has anyone received an email notice from BFL with instructions on funding by bank wire?

2. Ifso: When was the email received?

3. Assuming the bank wire was sent: Did BFL email you a notice that the bank wire had been received?

---

A good number of bank transfer notices were issued last week.  (they went out in product order, but that won't have any bearing on your overall order position, it was just more convenient to process them that way.)  We stopped sending notices on Friday so as to not cause people to fret over loosing time to wire over the weekend.  The remainder will go out tomorrow.  (Monday).

Once again, I'd like to remind everyone that your individual order position will not fall due to any delay in responding with transfer instructions.  Only the time it takes for the funds to arrive after you in particular have been notified is counted.  If you were trapped over the weekend from the few notices that went out early Friday - that time will not count either.

We hope to have caught up with the bulk of the inquiry backlog by the end of the week.  Please don't email again and again and again as it just makes it more complicated to get a comprehensive understanding of your request.

Thank you for your patience.

I placed an order for FPGA single on 6/22, order # 1605 (bidpay).  No confirmation emails.  No updates.

Then BFL announced ASIC version, so I placed another order for Single SC on 6/23, order # 1813 (to be paid by wire).  No wire transfer instructions.  No emails.  No updates since then.

You should have received word for an order this early.  I'll have CS investigate.

Strange thing happened, I wired the right amount in international payment, sent dollars, paid the fee locally, yet BFL said they received $20 less ?
Last time for my Single FPGA order and MiniRig FPGA payment I sent everything in the same way, and no money went missing ?

I sent a wire but added $30+ to cover anything at the other end. No confirmation still however.

How long does it usually take to confirm the wire transfer? I have never done a bank wire transfer before and just want to make sure everything went smooth. I sent 2 bank wire transfers the 28th and 29th, emailed BFL the info requested, but have not gotten a response with a confirmation that you guys got the money.

EDIT: I just got the wire confirm email from BFL today! It also included the date of purchase (date ordered + time it took to wire funds after receiving wire instructions from BFL). Now I can stop worrying knowing it is paid for and confirmed! Smiley

I purchased a MiniRig in May. I paid it on 23rd of May and I got the confirmation e-mail on 30th of May. The ETA for the delivery was between 23rd of Aug and 13th of Sept.

I signed for the Upgrade on 27th of Jun and i got the wire transfer instructions on 30th of Jun (saturday). I paid the requested amount on 4th of July. I beleive it will arrive to BFL at the end of this week or early next week.

My order number for the Mini Rig SC is 2360.

BFL,
could you please give us an estimate how many units will be shipped out at the first round?

Dear BFL,

Can you please check and reply to e-mails regarding the wire transfer payments? I paid almost a week ago and still have heard nothing back from any at your company....

Has anyone had their bank wire orders confirmed yet?

I think a couple people in this thread did communicate that to be the case for their orders.  That is, they ordered some product(s) online, got an email indicating they ordered whatever they ordered. Then eventually (dasy later) received wire instructions, and they subsequently completed a wire transfer to BFL. And finally BFL did send them an email receipt to confirm the wire was received and noted any delays they calculated on their placement in que (e.g. zero, one or two days delay from wire instructions to wire receipt).

So, now you just wait for BFL to send you an email acknowledging receipt of your wire, and a relative order position. If you don't mind, let us know how long it takes and how it turns out.

I'm in the exact same boat right now, 4 days since I sent them the wire + confirmation and no reply yet.

Received an email of wire receipt today. Timeline if it helps anyone:
1. 6/28 ... Wire instructions received from BFL in email.
2. 6/28 ... Wired funds sent to BFL (same day).
3. 6/31 ... From asking by email, BFL informed me [informally] that funds were received 6/29, but that customer service would still follow-up with a formal response.
3. 7/6 ... Official/formal customer service email received confirming wire receipt.

Elapsed time from BFL receiving wire was 7 days. That's not world class service. However, to be fair, considering BFL is a startup way over it's head in orders, and one weekend and a national holiday past since the wire, one can't really complain much more than it not being world class yet.

From others I have read in this thread, that is probably at the top end of time waiting for a receipt response. Others that have posted here have had faster responses. Like I mentioned, maybe I've been black listed.  Wink  j/k The emails from CS were polite.

I've always been a supporter of BFL and their product in theory. Ordered product. Yet, have been scrutinous of how they have operated in the past (usually in the area of communications & shipping). Like I said, I've been burned before.   But I will give it to them that they do seem more legit BECAUSE of this delay. Afterall, a full blown racket would probably just blast out a bunch of fast responses to suppress any possible dissent that could quickly lead to some kind of legal attention or requests for refunds. Wouldn't it?  Undecided

So, what's the date they sent you as the official order date?

Hi,

I know this topic is about Bank Wire Status.
My situation is that I have made two orders.
One order is paid via BTC.
The thing is, that the electronic invoice form with the To (BTC) address claimed it was just 15 minutes valid.
I have paid within those 15 minutes, but the electronic counter reached zero and stated that another address had to be requested from customer service manually.
When you pay via your wallet it needs at least 6 confirmations to be claimed valid. This time exceeds 15 minutes, so pay via BTC can actually never occur on time...
Anyone has experience with this kind of situation?
Will there be a confirmation when paid via BTC?
Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify, Bit-Pay isn't saying a confirmed (6 block) transaction needs to occur within 15 minutes.  The way that I understand it your payment just needs to be broadcast so that their node sees it within 15 minutes.

I believe the reason they do that (15 minute timer) is to protect themselves if the exchange rate moves against them.  If your transaction arrives after the 15 minutes and the price moves the wrong way against you, then they will hold onto the payment and, I believe, send you an e-mail requesting the additional amount needed to complete payment using the updated exchange rate.

I could see where a connection problem would cause the initial send to not go through, for instance, and then it take a half hour maybe for the client to retransmit the spend transaction.  Blockchain.info keeps track of the timestamp for when it sees the transaction.  Though that doesn't prove that BitPay also saw it at the same time, that will help you to help troubleshoot the problem.

If you didn't get an e-mail or confirmation, contact Bit-Pay to inquire.

Thanks.
That is what I did afterwards. Instead I used the email address (office@butterflylabs.com). I suspect a confirmation of the payment via BTC is not automated (yet). I hope for a response on Monday.
